I don't know what it is about this film. The concept is so unfathomably absurd--yet I want to see it. I'd never heard of the book; I have a love of history, yet I can't wait to see the film. Perhaps it's just so ballsy with such a weird concept that I respect it.
Maybe it's because I realized who Benjamin Walker is--Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson and Flags of Our Fathers--and find him an endearing, sexy, goofball of an actor. I don't know why (I also didn't realize Meryl Streep is his mother-in-law). I just want to see this film. It could be a total disaster, but this 2nd trailer piques my interest. No big Johnny Cash voice over this time dominating. I need to pick up the book some time.
