2nd Annual Valentine's Day Extravaganza!

Thanks Kestra! It was fun helping out, seeing the positive messages people wanted to send really made me smile. It's a good start to the day.

And Kestra saying "it's okay if I don't get any." Pft. What planet are you living on girl?! I couldn't stay up until 2 AM like she did, but I made sure that any messages for her were sent this morning!

 I really didn't expect to get anything! A lot of people said thank you when they were sending in their requests which I thought was sweet. So a big thank you to you for doing that! And thank you to everyone who sent me flowers, anonymously or not, and thank you to everyone who participated in any way!

Yeah, the anonymous ones have me guessing, too, so you're not the only one who's a little crazy.

I know who sent them ...

The worst part is that I cry when I'm angry! I'm not a fan of the show Friends, but I do remember a scene that resonated with me hilariously in which Rachel was confronting her boss (I think) and while sobbing hysterically said something along the lines of, "Before I begin, these are not tears of sadness, or weakness, they are tears of ANGER!"

Oh man, I cry easily but when I'm angry, I sometimes laugh. It's horrible because there's no chance of being taken seriously. I'm sitting there going "No, I'm really angry!" as I'm cracking up.

Nice work on this Kestra. It seems everyone who got flowers, are very happy.

Anyways, I ain't sad that I got nothing.

While I didn't get any flowers either, I'm still glad that I was able to give something. That's the VD way. :bolian:

I think it's often difficult to gauge who cares about this sort of thing and is participating. The people who tend to post in the thread about sending flowers of their own also tend to be the ones who receive some, even if it's just from one person.

You got a valentine and I didn't? Damn....now I feel like Charlie Brown. :p
I tried to freeze some Romulan Ale into rose shape but it stayed liquid.
Happy belated Valentine, {{{{{{{Bonzie}}}}}}}!

This morning on my way home from physical therapy I stopped at my favorite coffee shop, this young gal who I've been friends with for about 5 years wished me a Happy Valentine’s day so when I wished her on back I asked if her boyfriend was going to do anything special for her. She told me that she didn't have one let alone ever get a Valentine from anyone ever. After hearing this I decided to go to work a little early and I picked up a bunch of flowers for her. She broke down in tears when I gave her the flowers. I'm glad I took the time to do this; I know it made her day.

Well, thank you very much to the person who sent me some white flowers this year. :) You know who you are. And I think highly of you as well. :bolian:

And thanks to Kestra for doing this again. :)

I gave you the opportunity, TrekBBS, and you failed me. You failed me utterly and conclusively.

Not one person sent me flowers this year. Is my fatherhood that inhibited you? Or the Italian elections thread that scared you away? Or you just thought that someone else would do it, so why bother? Whatever your excuse, I am officially mad at you, TrekBBS. Consider yourself warned: hell hath no fury like an iguana scorned. :klingon:

:p

You were both on my list!

Just felt to crummy to get around to actually doing it.

GA, you are a gentleman. :bolian:

I hope you're feeling much better today. :)

I too have had a pretty lousy week: between feeling physically rotten for the whole week and a bit, and having to take part in the most unromantic activity possible on Valentine's Day (I won't go into detail here, but suffice to say consensual touching and baring of psyches were involved for the most part). I think I'm starting to feel better today, though.

Well, I feel no better for seeing that I wrote "to" instead of "too"!

And I spent Valentine's at the gynecologist. I win.

;)
