All they can do now is pray. It looks very bad now.

Things just get worse.
The local media aren't helping here, siding with the frustrated families over the delays getting into the mine. As much as I want someone to go in and try and get them out, I don't want a dozen more bodies on top of the 29 already in there.

So they're not all in the same place? I figured they were - don't know why, it makes sense they're all working in different places in the mine.
I guess that makes the rescue harder, but the possibility that some are alive somewhere that little bit higher.

Update - the bore hole has finally broken through into the mine. Hopefully now we can get some definitive readings.
This really ain't good. Hot air and gas coming out of the mine through the newly drilled bore hole are being described as "off the scale"...

I think at this stage it's only a matter of confirming the inevitable.

Police have said that no-one could have survived this explosion.
I guess the question now is 'can the bodies be recovered?"
