25th Century Starship Concept

OK, here's another update. I still haven't quite worked out the joining of the nacelles to the primary hull. And the secondary hull is still something I'm unsure of. The top view is just a minor tweak of the original. I realize the general lines of the secondary hull still need work...but it's slowly getting there. I'm a bit concerned though...the fore and aft views just don't flow as smoothly as the profile. I may have to draw a 3/4 profile to try and visualize this better.

I appreciate all the comments and advice I've been receiving and welcome more. Oh, and the name is tentative...inspired by Capt. Horatio Hornblower...often described as an inspiration for the Kirk character. :-)

This is really cool, Ensign Ro-. I'm eager to see how you develop it. It reminds me a little of something I messed with a good while back,

...then gave up on. Couldn't get the curves and sleekness that you have here.
And, I used a stupid faired in/airscoop thing for the nacelle-saucer joint. (?)

(sorry if I'm overstepping, trying to show what I think is a wrong (mine), and right approach (Ensign Ro-'s) to a similar concept)

I also really dig the curved, lowered rear end look. I think that really sets it apart from more standard design studies.

Woah...there is some definite similarities. I assure you this is the first I see of your work. LOL We obviously shot for different eras. And usually, I would go for a movie-era design myself. Here is one of my designs from that era that I have yet to fully develop...

And thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you are liking it thus far. :-)

Actually I've never posted it before now, the similarities are what intrigued me about your design. And to be honest, I have no idea of what era mine was going to belong in :)

Your Perseus concept is really slick, can't wait to see that done as well.

I think you should have in the first place. You clearly put a lot of work into the concept. It makes me wonder what else you have locked up out of sight.
