24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the most?

Not counting daytime soaps, these are the longest-running shows that have come to an end in 2010 (as far as I'm aware of off hand, anyway) -- 24 (8 seasons), Cold Case (7 seasons), Law & Order (20 seasons), Lost (6 seasons), Monk (8 seasons), Nip/Tuck (7 seasons), Numbers (6 seasons) and Scrubs (9 seasons).

Not sure if there's much audience crossover with these shows -- I certainly didn't watch most of them -- but I'm listing them anyway.

If you've seen more than one of these shows, which one was the best and which one will you miss the most?

24. Action shows are a rare breed now and with the exception of NCIS, I don't think I'll see another explosion on TV any time soon.

Of the ones listed I only watched 24 and Nip/Tuck. I will miss 24. Nip/Tuck totally wasted their final season.

Lost and 24.

Law and Order, I can duck in and out.

The only two I watched were NUMB3RS and Monk.

I think Monk had run its course, and ended well.

I could have used another couple years of NUMB3RS. I really enjoyed that show.

Law and Order.

After years of it being crap the last few have been really good.

24 to both questions, though I loved L&O and I'm sorry NBC didn't see fit to let it have one more season so it could beat Gunsmoke as longest running series.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

Definitely Law & Order. I admit I hadn't watched it very frequently in the last few years (mainly due to its timeslot) but I made a point of watching the final episode last night and it was as good as ever.

The other shows, frankly, are flash in the pans. Lost lost my interest ages ago, I never liked 24, Monk never aired properly in my part of the world, and Nip/Tuck wasn't the type of show that interested me, anyway. Law & Order, however, was a generational thing. I was only a couple years out of high school when it started. It has always been there, even if in the background. It and The Simpsons. Yes, it had better years than others, and not every team of cops and lawyers clicked. But the beauty of it is the show kept going, so if you didn't like a certain combination of actors, wait a year or two and you had a reinvention. The only other show that comes close in this regard is Doctor Who.

Not that I expected it to last forever, but I really thought they'd at least get a season 21 out of it, but when the actress who played Van Buren announced she was leaving after 17 years (!) and the LA spinoff was announced, I had a pretty good feeling it was game over.

Jack absolutely PWNED that school board official. "My advice to you, is GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!!" :techman:

Nice to see that Van Buren's health is improving. That was a good way to end the series, with the party for her.

I think there's a good chance Law & Order will be back on TNT. They are fighting to have season 21 on TNT next year.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

I'm gonna miss Lost. 24 was getting really stale and I'm actually glad it's over. I haven't seen Nip/Tuck in a while, but I plan to catch up. I'm happy to hear that it's over too. Last I remember, it was getting too silly and over the top.

So that makes three big shows that ended that had a "Jack" in the lead. :p

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

I think LOST should get a 7th season considering they didn't explain shit.

Plus I so so hope TNT can get Law and Order.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

Lost followed by Scrubs and 24 for me this season :( I have not gotten round to watching the last season of Nip/Tuck yet but its a guilty pleasure thats nowhere near the status it used to be.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

Scrubs was still on the air? And ended again? For the third time? I'll add it to the OP.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

24. It probably would have been lost before the final, but I was very disappointed in the final.

Re: 24, Law & Order, Lost, Monk, Nip/Tuck... which will you miss the m

There's no question that LOST is the one I will miss the most.
