24: Day 8 - Midnight - 1:00AM - Discussion and Spoilers

I DON'T CARE!!!

Seriously?! That warrants the end-of-hour without the ending split screen?

Seriously?!

Fuck-you 24.

At least there was no silent clock.

I'm not certain I could ever hate a character more then Ange's son, Connor. In any case, what did beard thing was going to happen, running up to an armed man, and shooting? And if he did somehow manage to kill him, what in the world made him think Dana would do nothing but continue to work for him?

Would have been awesome if Cole blew Dana's brains out.

If Cole still loves Dana after all of this, he's a moron.

Redneck DiCaprio didn't die painfully enough.

Hope Renee will be back in the field soon.

Good, good stuff between Jack and Hastings.

Shit I forgot the poll for this thread.

If I had it I'd give this episode a poor. Possibly a terrible.

Jack, Rene, Hastings were all good.

But this bullshit ending to the plot line of nonsense and stupid, ruined this episode.

Was I seriously supposed to care that Redneck DiCaprio got killed? That Dana held him as he died? Was I supposed to be so engaged in this story line that the episode-out split screen would just ruin it?

Bullshit. 24 hits a new low with this episode.

Now with DiCaprio gone and it seems that story line wrapping up it's time to get Jack and Rene back into the game and start doing something!

Jack and Hastings had some really good scene tonight. Renee was good too but I don't want her playing damsel in distress anymore.

I'm beginning to like Hastings a bit. And Jack with Renee.... cool! I'm a romantic so sue me. :p But the cynic in me says this is the perfect set up to kill off Jack and have Renee step in. But that presumes that Jack Bauer can be killed.....

Guard- It's Jack Bauer!

10 guards immediately drop their guns and get down on the floor.

Hastings-We'll be there in a week. Can you wait a week Farhad?

Farhad- I guess so.

Jack Bauer uttered the dreaded death flag telling his girl that they'd be together after something dangerous is finished.

Of course the 24 writers could be doing that on purpose much like Shoji Kawamori did in Macross Frontier throwing up every single death flag possible for Ozma and even referencing the Roy Foekker death scenario from the original Macross.

Mine, too!

The Dumbass-Dana plotline is just killing me. I wish they'd drop this crap-fest. It's just so stupid. All she had to do was step forward and come clean. Yes, she'd be in trouble for possible fraud and lying to the government, but if she was as smart as they portrayed her to be, she'd have done it. But no, she preferred to take part in robbery and be up for charges of robbery, assault and then murder. I mean, REALLY?

Was it just me, or were there some continuity errors in this episode? One minute her hair was down, the next it's up. And how did she know where to go to intercept the Redneck brothers, when she arrived there FIRST?

*shrug*

Oh well. I'm just glad Redneck and Beard are finally dead.

Not been a good day for Hastings. He screwed up earlier in the day by not giving Cole cover. He has no idea where his employers are running off to and he couldn't protect Renee from a witchhunt. I am going to excuse the whole nuclear rods in this country thing though. What CTU chief HASN'T let WMDs into the United States of 24 on this show?

The Starbuck plotline this week was especialy horrible.

I agree with Trekker--this episode was FUCKING TERRIBLE, easily the worst one yet in a season that's served up a lot of shit sundaes.

Why in the blue hell is the episode ending with Redneck DiCaprio and Evil Daniel Faraday being foiled like a trashy Lifetime movie of the week???

Every single character on the show including Jack and Renee is being wasted with boring, "we're doing this to fill up 24 episodes, not because anything interesting can come of it" plotlines. I'd take the big, dumb action movie that later seasons of 24 have turned into over this crap any day of the week.
