I'm pretty sure the "familiar foe" is Daniels. He was in a clip for the montage of the entire season very early on.

Also, I think the First Daughter is in on this. Nice little switch? Pretends to be scared and makes up with Mommy -- and she's in. (Dad getting shot was a lucky coincidence for her to get into the White House. Perhaps his "framing" was to accomplish the same thing, only he wasn't supposed to get hurt). Remember, she didn't like Mommy after she was punished for screwing around with the campaign.

Ethan is worried that the offspring will screw things up, but not because he's the mole. Although if the "foe" is who I think it is ...

Lots of possibilities here.

Yeah... and killer ones, too! But then if the FDOTUS is in on this, it's going to be a doubly nasty gut punch for Aaron .... and a almost unrecoverably so for the POTUS. Do you think the writers of this show are ready to go that deep on the betrayal scale? Then again I think what gives your idea some gravitas is how Ethan is being set up to look more and more suspicious, as in too obvious. If it's NOT him... then the FDOTUS would be a nice "didn't see that one coming".

Daniels really isn't a "foe" though. The only person he butt heads with was Wayne Palmer. He never met Jack.

Logan and Cheng Zhi are the only two villains with direct connections to Jack who are still alive after seven seasons. Unless Daddy Bauer survived the gunshot AND the explosion despite being left alone in the ocean.

So, does Jack get "credit" for Bill's death? Jack did set-up the gasleak in the lockdown room that contributed to Bill's death.

Excluding Bill and the terrorist who was with him in the lockdown I counted Six kills fo Jack this episode.

I checked it out to see what's going on. I see Jack is still doing battle with the FBI Party Pooper. That's fun, maybe I'll keep watching a bit. :D

What happened to Rhys Coiro? Is he still around?

What happened to Tony? They didn't kill him did they? :klingon:

I thought maybe they fake-killed Tony so they can bring him back as a Big! Surprise! in the season finale. :rommie:

I like the way Jack explains why the assassin guy inexplicably let him live because he wanted Jack to be a distraction and then Jack runs off to make sure he's a distraction. :bolian:

I can't believe they killed The Silver Fox, aka Bill Buchanan. Actually, I can, since this is 24 and only Jack and Aaron seem to be unexpendable. Bill has survived since season 4, so that's 3 & 1/2 seasons. More than Sherry Palmer, Michelle Almeida, Ryan Chappelle, Edgar Stiles George Mason and many others made. I actually thought Bill might buy it in the last season. At least he got a good death, probably the best for a (former) CTU employee since Mason.

This has been a great season so far, easily the best since S.4. I know we've only had a little of Jon Voight so far but I'm loving his performance. He can be hammy as hell when doing villainous Anaconda) and dull as rust on other occasion (Transformers) but I'm loving all his little quirks here. 'Let's play darts.' 'Now we're having fun.' 'Quinn is good. So is Bauer.' The character is clearly having fun. Not in a mad psycho laughing manically way but in a player enjoying the game way.

My bet is he's the head of the Secret Service.
