So Jack has to do what the bad guys want, look like he's betraying the good guys all to protect his family.

Umm... I think I've heard this song before.

O wow onext week is gonna be GOOOOOD! Jack vs Tony in the moist grudging way.

Where's the crazy survivalist when you need one??

I thought Jack screaming looked like a procedure was taking place. I'd guess it would be towards the end of the finale when he's having Kim's stem cells used to treat the biological agent in his system and they're either do a spinal tap or for some reason injecting it directly into his spinal fluid to quickly disperse it into his brain if he's in the final stages of the disease.

But yea this whole Kim danger plot is really pissing me off. It's like the writers at 24 are sitting there and then they have this glass window on the wall which reads "Break if we have no idea WTF to do." and in it there's a Jack must betray those who trust him and carry out the orders of the bad guy in order to save his family script in it.

When it was said Tony was going to have a love interest this season, I partly wanted it to be Kim.

I'm really not happy about this at all. I gave the episode an Average because it was pretty good, until the ENDING.

Seriously, guys? Kim is in danger AGAIN?????? What the F*$# are they thinking??? Was fifty times in 4 seasons not enough???

Even worse, the actual terrorist thread is already over, since the last of the bioagent is now gone. So now it's basically the bad guys trying to cover up their cabal by rescuing Tony and disappearing (I assume, since it was pretty clear a few episodes back that this cabal's last ace in their sleeve was the final gas canister).

The only interesting plot now is (I guess) the Olivia Taylor one, which just got more interesting now than the former Chief of Staff and the unkillable Agent Pierce suspect that she is involved in the car bombing. The preview makes it clear that the President finds out, and is being pressured to cover Olivia's involvement up to save her presidency. I find that more interesting than another last minute "Jack has to betray everyone again because Kim is being held hostage" storyline.

The writers were clearly BSing the fans when they said that this season would be different. All they really did was change CTU to FBI, L.A. to D.C., and that's about it. This season has also had more unnecessary plot twists/betrayals than the first season even did, when Nina was suddenly the mole despite there being no signs of this whatsoever beforehand.

Barring a last minute shocking turn in the final two episodes, this season is going in the trash pile.
