Hey now, Olivia's getting nasty in the next episode. That should justify her appearance alone...
You want reason and motive from your 24 baddies for their evil actions?? That's truly asking a lot. What was the motive of Zefram Cochrane from season 6 or Robocop from season 5?
Some crap about the government proving to be weak against terrorism so obviously the only sensible action is to form your own terrorist organization and show how at risk they truly are.You want reason and motive from your 24 baddies for their evil actions?? It's been mentioned in the story, so... yes.![]()
It's a little crazy that there isn't martial law after all of these nuclear detonations on American soil, especially the one that went off in the middle of LA.If I were Taylor, I'd either bomb Starkwood or send all available forces there to tear that place apart. Would the American people of the 24 Universe really mind? Considering all that has happened to the country these past six seasons?
Someone remind me again why Hodges is doing this in the first place?![]()

'Cause he's an evil asshole with delusions of grandeur?
Seriously though...... what is the reason in the story?
Rick Berman?? LOL!!!
Looks like Brannon Braga hasn't been able to escape being lapdog.
Okay, thanks. That's clarified what I thought was bugging me about it all. While I'm still enjoying the season overall, it's issues like this that dig away at that enjoyment. Granted, the best part about this season is watching it with my sons. His motivations make absolutely no sense once the cat was out of the bag, and as Speedle said, the best option at that point would have simply been to destroy any evidence linking them to Sengala and the bio-weapons, and if that failed to fall on his sword and take personal responsibility whilst sparing the company most of the blame. He's just a crazy guy with lots of mercenaries at this point (not that his actions were all that rational before).
This has to be a double cross or something.

Is it just me, or did the military brass in the discussion with the POTUS come off as weirdly wimpy? If there really were a rogue military presence within the U.S., I'd expect that to generate a pretty serious smack-down from the Feds, of whatever branch of government makes sense, but I would not expect hand-wringing and weeping from anyone, just a cold-blooded discussion of who exactly should be in charge of that bombing run, for Consitutional purposes. After all, Starkwood is a major frakkin threat to the authority of the Federal government. They can't allow that to go unchecked for any length of time - surely they must know that?Threatening to fire on federal officials should lead to a bombing run.
Coto and Braga could've at least used "Richard Berman" to not make their Berman homage so obvious.![]()

That boat sailed with the Bob Justman reference.

I caught that reference right away but am sure it was more Braga then Coto.
I'm finding it interesting how Hodges has gotten all of his lackeys to join in on such an incredible scheme.
