Jack gave the right answer. He knows what he does is wrong but he can't live with himself if he doesn't do it.

Like I've been saying, if what happened on 24 happened in the real world (horrific terrorist attacks, corruption at every level of the government, law enforcement, and corporate sector), the America we know wouldn't exist. Tell the next victims of this conspiracy that you could have prevented the attacks if you had tortured Wilson for the information. I'm sure they'll be so understanding.
