Wow, finally a spiritual successor to Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise!!
...or maybe to the FASA TNG Officer's Manual?

Because the image has started showing up publicly on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, I think it’s okay for me to share this here now with all of you — the cover for my upcoming Star Trek: The Original Series 60th Anniversary novel, Echoes in Eternity, with the key illustration by Locus Award-winning artist John Picacio!

Great cover, and great to see that John Picacio is back in action. (Did he do any Star Trek between the Crucible/Terok Nor triptychs and this?) edit: Of course, Fearful Symmetry and Myriad Universes. But nothing since...?

Curious, there seems to be a slight mismatch between blurb and image. "A young Starfleet officer who dreams of a life lived amidst the stars receives his first starship command" did not make me think of Spock. But then again, that makes it even more interesting. Can't wait.

As we did with Lost to Eternity and Identity Theft, we'll be doing an in-depth review. Our listeners loved these literary episodes. This will be a great addition to our 60th anniversary programming.

Hm. I'm getting the feeling that Spock may have a significant role in this book. Not sure what gave me that impression...

Seriously, that is a beautiful cover. Can't wait for the tale attached to it.

Oh gosh, that is the prettiest cover I've seen in a bit.

Wow! That's impressive.

On first glance, the top picture reminded me a lot of Quinto (Kelvin) Spock.

I'm excited to see what David and Una have cooked up in their books later this year.
