I know personally how much it hurts to watch your team be up two games to none, need only ONE MORE FREAKING WIN and then fall apart three games in a row. Hurts. Bad. Sorry, Rangers fans - I feel your pain.

The funny thing for the Dodgers, if the Dodgers win Maddeningly will probably still be fired. If they loses, he will probably still be fired.

Wow ... the Mets actually won! I can't imagine there were too many (rational) people at the beginning of the year would have thought they'd be in the NLCS. The Cubs certainly seem like a team of destiny (thanks Marty McFly) ... but damn ... the Mets have made this season a memorable one!

Mets vs Dodgers just about to start. I'm very excited about this game, hopefully it will be good. I'm very satisfied with the Mets accomplishments this year, in fact it was way more then expected. The future for the Mets looks the brightest in a long time, hopefully this season is a sign of things to come. If it ends tonight, while I will be sadden, I will not be downtrodden.

So he's the MLB equivalent of Doug Collins? Fired because he couldn't get the team quite far enough.

Nobody involved has won it all in quite a while. That'll be nice to see.

Almost a shame the Astros didn't move on to the ALCS. They're another team that was bad for a long time like the Cubs and Mets & managed to come back this year.

Even adding in the Mets players that weren't involved in the Cubs 7-0 record, I still like our chances.

I can get behind the Mets on this one; know the in-laws would love it at least. And as Mets/Bills fans, they could use a win

Actually kinda nice no matter what this year, all 4 teams are long-standing underdogs that could use a win. Too bad the Astros are out, another one that would have been good. No matter what, won't have to watch the Cards or the Yankees (or even the Sox at this point) again.

None of these are a big draw for me, so not gonna be glued to the TV, but cool to shake it up and get some fresh blood in the winner's circle.
