2013 is DS9's 20th Anniversary...

I'd be strongly in favor of either an anthology or a series (or both, as I don't think they would necessarily be mutually exclusive).

There is so much potential for cool stories to be told here, I can only hope that some Trek authors have pitched or will pitch story ideas for moving the DS9-R forward. In addition, it would nice to have an anthology to fill in the inevitable gaps, perhaps with stories by the authors from the original relaunch, like S.D. Perry, KRAD, David George III, etc.

Heck--by 2013, I might have actually gotten around to securing an agent, and submitting that DS9-novel pitch I was talking about last summer!

I'd like something like the TNG Continuing Missions book as well. I believe the only DS9 coffee table book we ever got (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) was the Behind the Scenes book that the Reeves-Stevens did. I have both books on my shelve and use them constantly as references for various stories and just to have a fun read. I also would like some kind of gap-filler for the characters mentioned in the original post. I loved DS9 and the premiere episode was one of the rare occasions where my entire family sat and watched Star Trek together.

If I have to choose between an anthology and a 2-4 book mini series, I'd go with the mini series, but the best I would hope for is an anthology a-la Prophecy and Change (how did it sell, btw? anyone knows? Christopher? KRAD?) to fill out the gap with various character based "smaller" stories, and a big freakin' EPIC mini series to tie up the big questions / plotlines - the Ascendants and the fate of the Dominion.

Heck, tie it up with the Typhon Pact and have an inter-series, well, series  along the lines of Destiny

Who / where can I petition about this?

Anthology, yes. Multi book series, sure. I don't care which, really.

I just want more DS9 relaunch.

Fill in the gap, finish the story. :)
