2012 Books

I love christopher's books and this one comes out on the week of my birthday so yeah me.

don't end the vanguard series please. all time fav right now.

All good things must come to an end. I will miss Vanguard but just because the series is over doesn't mean its characters and elements are. Ward and Mack really love the series. I'm sure they will publish more about whatever/whoever survives.

I know that's two series ending that I love that's star trek TNF and vanguard.

"New Frontier" has not been announced as ending. PAD hasn't yet been invited to pitch a new story, and he has no current contract with Pocket. That can change at any time.

I think Pocket will wait until the BMB mmpb comes out before they make a decision as to whether it is worth continuing the series.

Maybe we should take an impromptu forum poll to see just how many people read his books any more.

There are still plenty of ST novel collectors who buy every ST novel.

Peter David continues to sell well. I know of general comics fans who'd pick up any novel by Peter David (Trek or otherwise) on his name/reputation alone.

A little off topic here but I'm so lazy I didn't bother to check out more of your site then that link until Dayton Ward linked to it from his blog for an article about some updated Blish cover artwork. You've got a lot of cool stuff there. I think I spent about 20 minutes wondering around thinking "I didn't know that existed" until I realized I should get back to work. Good stuff.

Yeah, you've got a great site there 8of5.

Yes, this!
^@ j3067 I just love you're avatar. Plan to read the rest of the titan books this winter.

Thanks. I would love to have a full sized/large scale Jar Jar in carbonite for my game room.

I would have loved seeing this happen near the start of Phantom Menace and never see him again.

Then again, with Lucas making changes for the Blu-ray edition, one can only hope...

Thank guys. I'm quite curious what sort of things you didn't know existed that you found? And if I might be so bold as to plug: I have a second Star Trek blog, the 8of5 Archives, which takes a more historical view of all things Trek. There are only a few articles so far, but there are more on the way, so you might some more interesting things there too :)

Oh, I'm not talking about the books. It's things like the Klingon Monopoly game or the wallets. It's just kind of cool to see them even though it's pretty unlikely I'll buy something like that.

And as far as the books go, I'm usually up on what's coming out but it's great to have a listing like yours with all the covers. Memory Alpha has some covers but I just like your layout better.

Yeah, same for me. Your site was the first place I got a good look at Klingon Monopoly.

EDIT: I was looking around on Memory Beta, and I noticed that every year since at least 2001 we've gotten at least one Trade Paperback Trek book, but we haven't heard about any for next year. So I was wondering when the earliest we could hear about one is? How early before their release are they usually announced?
EDIT2: Just answered my own question: We already have, the Destiny omnibus is being released as a trade in March.
