2011 NFL Season - A New Game

Too bad for Green Bay, but "perfect season" is mostly meaningless anyway. If Green Bay manages to win 1 or 2 more rings in the next couple years, they'll be remembered as a legendary team either way.

^Yeah, I seem to recall having that redzone problem too, haha.

Yeah but I don't think that's all on Orton, part of is they go "full retard" on the play calling when they get down there. They had a 4th and inches and istead of sneaking or diving over the top, they pitch it 5 yards back to Battle and he gets stuffed.

A loss might be the best thing that happens to the Packers, takes the pressure of the "perfect season" off.

Wow, the Chiefs beat the Packers and the Colts won a game? WTF?

Oh, and the Texans lost, effectively knocking them out of the race for the #1 seed in the AFC. Now to root for the Broncos...

This is pretty amazing: Denver has 133 yards of rushing...with 5 minutes to go in the first quarter.

That Chiefs game was rough, but it was obvious early on that they were ready to play, and they had an actual game plan. The Packers... I don't know. Clearly they didn't execute well. Rodgers was off, the offensive line was worse than normal, and we have some nice fresh injuries to our tackles as well. With the defense we have, we're not really equipped to play from behind.

On the bright side, we can still clinch home field this weekend. And we have 4 weeks to get healthy. Oh, and Rodgers looks like he did just enough for my fantasy team. So long as there isn't a complete Gronk explosion. I'm not worried about that though. Jesus is with Tebow today.

LOL,

So the Chiefs win today and moments ago I got an e-mail from NFL Ticket Exchange that my tickets for next Saturday's game (Xmas Eve day, who schedules this shit?) vs the Raiders have now sold. I've had those on there for months and one victory over the Packers, and suddenly boom, they're sold.

LOL Bears. I think Caleb Hanie just INTed himself out of the NFL. I was supportive of him when Cutler first got injured but it seems that support was misplaced and his relative success in the NFC Championship game last year was a total flash in the pan--dude is fucking terrible.

Is it too late to book a flight to Vegas and bet $10,000 on the Packers next week vs. the Bears? They're going to be out for blood after that loss to the Chiefs. I don't see the Bears getting within 4 TD's.

That said, I did pick Indy to win this week while my buddy somehow correctly picked the Chiefs to beat the Pack. Talk about dumb luck on the latter...

EDIT: Johnny Knox has full body movement which is a major relief considering he got bent back in a way that the body isn't supposed to go. Hope the guy has a full recovery.

Actually that's EXACTLY the Chiefs MO, look like shit all season long, and then suddenly pull a game out of their ass against a team they have no business even being on the same field with. I don't bet, but I would have bet on the Packers, and I really thought the Packers would win. But I have to tell you, I'm not totally shocked by that outcome, because that's what they do.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled shitfest that is KC Chiefs football.

I doubt the 4th quarter magic will happen today for the Broncos. They're playing now how everyone thought they'd play all season. Ugly game.

I was just thinking that if somehow Tebow DOES pull off another 4th quarter miracle, the hype, which is already intolerable, will reach beyond epic proportions.

Good Lord,

He must be blessed. I don't think I've ever seen that before, he's basically sacked in the end zone but fumbles the ball away before the whistle blows, and he gets away from the defender, recovers the ball near the back of the endzone, picks it up and throws it away before falling out of the back of the endzone.

The sad thing is, those three turnovers really opened the game up for New England. I wonder what the score would be without those 17 points. Other than that, the Broncos haven't really been that bad, New England is just that good on offense.
