2011 NFL Season - A New Game

Anyone think the Pats will cover this weekend? 21 points is ridiculous for a pro game.

Also fuck the Jets.

Realtalk, he'd probably fit in with the Texans, since they have a monster of an offensive line and they need a quarterback not named Jake Delhomme for the rest of the season.

Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubiak are buddies. I'm sure Mike has some less than stellar things to say about McNabb.

Fair enough, but anyone with even one eye can see that while McNabb's arm strength is diminishing at a surprising pace, the cause behind his decline in Philadelphia, the shitshow in Washington and the disaster in Minnesota was playing behind utterly awful offensive lines. Yeah, he's been chronically underthrowing his receivers for a while, but, Jesus, he's 35. You can't have him running for his life on every down and then expect him to still fire cannonballs.

The Vikings are releasing Donovan McNabb. Any takers?

Oh, fuck me, don't give Martz any ideas.

If he didn't have a huge contract, even in his broken down state McNabb would be an improvement over McCown. I just hope Hanie doesn't get injured. If he does, the Bears go winless the rest of the year.

No, they won't go winless, they get the Chiefs this Sunday. Should be an easy win for da Bears.

I hate how so many of the primetime games this season have sucked or been between sucky teams. Even games like tonight where one team is supposed to be much better than the other one, the "good" team has issues and it still ends up not being a competetive game.

The only thing worse than Young throwing a pick-six? The fact that every Eagle on the field stopped pursuing the defender by the the 40 yard line or earlier. C'mon, guys!

I've learned never to trust anything over 14 points for an NFL game, and never do more than 28 for a college one.

I don't actually bet, but saw this in the paper and got a chuckle out of it. I almost bought tickets to this game over the summer. Kinda glad I didn't at this point.

I'm nowhere near as fired up for Pats-Colts as I would normally be. I'll watch until it gets out of hand, (assuming it will in the 3rd quaarter) then hopefully the other game on at the time will be competitive.

LOL

The Chiefs brought Orton in for one play and he promptly at a minimum dislocates his index finger on his throwing hand (if not broken outright). It's so bad now all you can do is laugh @ the Chiefs, fan of the team or not.

Oh this is comedy gold. The Chiefs just throw up a hail Mary at the end of the first half that bounces off several defenders into the Chiefs hands. There first TD in I don't know how long and it's a ricochet desperation hail Mary pass. And with that somehow the Chiefs lead 7-3 at the half.

Spent all day getting his ass handed to him, and Goodman comes up with the game-winning Int. I was so livid with him because he was getting burned on 3rd and long consistently, but after that last save I think I can forgive him. McGahee is still a monster and is was great to see Tebow throwing extremely well today. Nice to see WR Thomas finally have a break out day- I hope he can keep it up for us!
