(2011)-2012 NBA Season

That kind of injury could affect his quickness in seasons to come. I saw the play, but how the blankety blank can you actually tear the ligament with no contact? I'm thinking they pushed him back too soon. This means we're assured of a Miami Heat appearance in the finals again. :angryrazz::angryrazz: Sheesh.

Wow, bad news for Chicago fans. However if the Bulls don't get down on themselves, if they use the injury as motivation, I would not be surprised to see them in the conference finals. The east is full of pretenders, the Magic, Knicks, Atlanta (though I'm praying they step up big), and the inexperienced, Indy, Philly. All of these teams, at least, are beatable for the Bulls

And if they get into a series against the Heat, if they can keep enough games close at the end, perhaps the Heat's natural tendency toward self destruction will kick in. I think the Bulls are still very dangerous for all other eastern teams.

But, for the record, if it comes down to between the Heat and the Celts, I'm rooting for the Heat.

Does he not have a proper strength and conditioning program? I know nothing about the Bulls trainers. Are they shit or something? Do they push them too hard to come back from injuries before they're ready? Rose has had enough "bad luck" to last a decade. Where he was grabbing his knee, it sure looked like someone who'd hurt his ACL. Maybe he'll get "lucky" and it will just be a severe third degree sprain or something.

BTW, there's a very good point that the compressed schedule this year might have had something to with this.

Chicago Bulls black shoes/socks in the playoffs is my favorite sports tradition. I rushed home from running errands to see this.*

*I will never get a date, will I?

So the Nuggets attempted 90 shots this afternoon.

Andrew Bynum blocked 10 of them (11%).

So much for Denver's "up-tempo" plan...

Against Denver we are going to need Bynum to guard the rim just like he did today. Nice win. First game of a 7 game series is the least important, but it is better to have than have not. Seven fast breaks and 35% shooting will get it done against most teams, but it is lethal against team that plays defense as poorly as the Nuggs.

One down, 15 to go.

So Rondo bumped a ref...that's a one game suspension. Good. Hopefully the loss will precipitate another Celtics loss in game 2.

There was far, far worse officiating on both sides of the ball in the OKC game, but no one "bumped" any refs. Carlisle whined about it, but he whined earlier in the year, too. No one listened. He was just pissed that OKC played a lousy game and still beat them because they couldn't hold a 7 point lead with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. Dallas got to the line 25 times; OKC only 20. Whiny ass crybaby.

In other news, I'm not the least bit surprised that Memphis is giving the Clippers everything they can handle and then some and currently holds a huge lead. People don't realize just how good Memphis is. Tony Allen (formerly of my beloved OK State Cowboys) gives the entire Thunder roster fits. He can cover anyone, including the ultra speedy Westbrook, and he does it damn well.

My cable's out. I can't see any stations at all. Are you shitting me? Fucking Memphis with the smothering defense of doom couldn't hold a 27 point lead? What the bloody hell happened?

I don't know, I only turned in at the end. But it looked like the Grizzlies couldn't hit a shot. Clippers hit a couple of threes, but that's all I can say about the offensive side.

I give Paul the credit, the man has an indomitable will to win, and that attitude carries over to his teammates.

Seems to me that Memphis is a leaderless team. Maybe they're worse off with Gay as the number one instead of Zach?

No lie it was uncharacteristic. Where did the smothering defense go? 27 points? Are they serious? The Clippers are good, but they aren't that good. I understand they put in the bench when they were up by 27. Did it not occur to the coach to put his starters back in or something? Did someone from the Griz get injured? What happened?

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

I can't afford hair color to cover the gray hair you're giving me, Thunder. Cut it out and put someone away early for a change, dammit!!!! You don't have to give up double digit leads to make it exciting at the end. Poor little Dirky was getting a bit chippy. Tempers were flaring. Glad it didn't get out of control too much. What a putz he was with that flop later in the game. Mega flopping.
