I heard some people were trying to keep Rachel Alexandra out of Preakness. Sexism!

Fear.

I'll definitely root for her tomorrow. I just hope she won't be another Eight Belles.

Breaks are part of the sport. I doubt it had anything to do with her gender though, it was just a freak accident. Hopefully we can get through this Triple Crown run without a breakdown...

Yeah, I know breaks happen to any horse (remembers Barbaro. ). I just hope it doesn't happen again. Especially not to the filly I'm rooting for.

You could call sexism for the fact that Eight Bells got shot on the race but Barbaro got to live a year or two

Eight Belles had no chance of survival, though. The pain alone probably would have done her in. Barbaro had a chance, at least.
