2009 fan made calender: submissions

Hi all

For a while I've been planning to post about doing a fan made SHIPS OF THE LINE -esque calender for board members, then I realised its christmas eve tommorrow!

So, I'm looking for some submissions of artwork, which I'll then overlay the calender part in photoshop and make available as a pdf. Ideally submissions should also include a short biography of the artist to add in the back pages of the pdf, and what particular month your ship should be under. If we get more than 12 submissions they'll be a mutliple choice option added for each month.

All types of ship are considered, canon or not, and from all races and timelines, though I am considering doing a non-Federation calender as well to run alongside it.

Let us know what you think.

Cheers

Baz

Looking forward to seeing more entries!

Hi Shawnster, I'm thinking 1st January for submissions, should be able to layout the calender within a day or so.

Hi MadMan, welcome aboard! Don't forget your bio and preferred month.

Oh, Right...

My Preferred month would be November, and as for the bio....

My Real Name is Ricky Wallace, and I am 26 Years old...I'm a Computer Technician, and I live in Florida. I model in Blender 3d, and I use Photoshop.

Good enough? :)

Here is my render for the calender, "The Borg."

I would prefer the month of December but if not, then any month is fine.

Those nacelle domes need to be red/orange, not blue.

December was a busy time of year to get something like this together.

With having my own calendar project on the go, I'm not sure if I'll have time to get extra high quality renders done for this project too. But I'll see what I can do.

(Winsley you might want to check out January on my calendar ;) )

That's very similar to an image I made some years ago:

Maybe it could be a Borg-themed calender? :p

I like your composition a little bit better. I like how close the cube is, should have thought of that myself.

ps. I got home really late tonight. I will try to do some renders tomorrow, if I can...I should be able to.

Yes they are, and yes they do lol... if Redbaz wants to use it I'll strip the entry text off anyway and can still lighten those... I noticed that effect after I entered it originally lol.. :D

^^
maybe a less random pattern would convey the idea of cities more successfully (spreading out from an original landing zone fro example.)
