Two new Doctor Who games are due out before the year is out:

1 for DS and 1 for Wii:

Apart from the medium, the two appear to differ in the adversary they feature as the DS title seems Dalek focused while the latter seems Cybermen focused. It's concerning that we haven't got a screenshot, trailer or even a description of the concept involved. The plot sounds a little simplistic, but if the gameplay matches what we've experienced with the Online Adventures, it could be worth playing.

Unfortunately, neither game will be distributed in North America, and the Wii game won't even function on North American systems (darn region coding). The DS game should work fine on a NA DS, though, if any of you are thinking of getting a copy from overseas.

Australia is one of the lucky few where it will be released. The BBC must be pitching the sales based on viewership. Out here, Doctor Who is easily the most popular sci-fi program (apart from Stargate). I'd actually go as far as saying it's more popular than Star Trek because even back in the classic era, it's always either had an after school or prime time evening slot whereas any other sci-fi show on free to air (Battlestar included) is always pushed back to the Letterman time slot.

I think the response to Doctor Who is the USA is somewhat muted compared to the response that America's own homemade sci-fi gets, for understandable reasons. Maybe BBC felt it would be an underwhelming market?
