I wish they'd just gone with the simple announcement promo pic if that is the Doctor's new outfit. I dunno something about it turns me off maybe it will grow on me the more I see it...maybe it's the tuquoe...he looks like he's coming off the set though with it.

Well to be honest when his 'look' is revealed they'll likely do it the same way they did with Tennant and show us a proper publicity photo.

As for the look he has in that pic...well Troughtonesque though it may be I can't see the hat working, and surely the ipod could have given it away.

I do wonder what kind of look they'll give him...not sure what I'm more excited to learn, his outfit or his companion

I'm all in favor of a scholarly professor look for the Doctor.

Trouble is he will just look more like a mature student, but I like that idea as well. We'll have to wait and see, I didn't see Tennant's look coming but, so far, the look of both NuWho doctors has been spot on and they obviously take a lot of time over it.
