Tests from way back then have probably been shown to be inadequate. In fact most IQ tests of the "answer these questions" nature aren't reliable methods of intelligence calculation.

ETA: I'm guessing this is a selection test to be a crew member on Tachy's survival ark. I don't want to see the test for who gets to polish his huge organ.

Actually i'm building a bunker and placing a large freezer in it and converting the Freezer into a strong armoured safe place. The plan is when the asteroids hit and the blasts cause enormous heat waves I can jump into the freezing cold protective freezer and survive the heat blasts.

As I said above, it's more likely those who have a high IQ are going to only see 3 as people with high IQs are likely faster readers, and for this reason. They simply only read what is important.

I don't think I would agree with that. Those with high IQs aren't necessarily faster readers. It is reading comprehension that is far more important. Like I mentioned earlier I am a slow reader and would finish much later than my classmates, but I often remembered much more about the book later on than they did, and I always scored very highly on comprehension. Speed reading can be learned by nearly anyone.

I think maybe he means there is a difference between spitting out an answer, or applying the answer and methods which were used to coem to it, to find new solutions and ideas.

I mean, once in school they made us memorize a list of 300 words and their definitions. Each definition had about three usages, so in escense I had to remember about 900 things -- in one day. I got a 100 'cause I remembered all 900 things, but have totally forgotten it all. You can feed information into people like processing machines, and for a bit they might remember it, but that isn't proof of intelligence, otherwise a Roemba is just as smart of some of the TrekBBS members here.

But if it strikes the ocean, you could be subjected to an enormous tsunami, that could flood your area for months, if not much longer, leaving you to die in a cold freezer underground. Assuming it doesnt' start leaking. And even if the water subsides ... who's to say something big and fucking heavy won't have landed right smack on you exit. Food for thought. ;-)
