My own answers

1) how many siblings do you have?

Two older sisters, one younger brother.

2) Are your grandparents still alive?

No. My grandfathers died in 1936 and 1967, my grandmothers in 1972 and 1975.

3) Are your parents still alive?

No. My dad died in 2004, my mum in 2011.

4) Do you have any children?

Yes. Three sons. Ages 36, 33 and 31.

5) Do you have any grandchildren?

No, and. I don't think I ever will.

6) How many first cousins do you have?

34 - 2 on my father's side, 32 on my mother's side.

7) Who is the oldest person in your family?

My aunt Jean (mother's sister) turned 100 in March.

8) Who is the youngest person in your family?

My great-nephew Neill. He is about 10 months old.

9) Who is the tallest person in your family?

My nephew Matthew. No sure how tall he is, maybe around 6ft 2 in.

10) Which family member do you like the least?

My brother - he is a selfish bully.

1) how many siblings do you have? One full sister, the youngest. An older half sister and half brother from my dad's first marriage, an older half sister on my mom's side, an older brother who passed away in '95 at the age of 16, and an older sister who passed away as an infant in '82.

2) Are your grandparents still alive? Paternal grandpa and maternal adopted grandma are alive, maternal biological grandmother still alive.

3) Are your parents still alive? Yep! And they are inarguably the cutest parents at the powwow!

6) How many first cousins do you have? Ummmm...this is hard...I think maybe 20-ish? I'm pretty sure that there are 10 n my dad's side. Less certain about my mom's side. My mom has three lost siblings, too, they might have kids.

I think it's my grandmother, who is 86.


8) Who is the youngest person in your family? Not sure...maybe my nephew Cormac.

My brother-in-law Sean is over 6 feet, he's the tallest I've met.

Living or dead? Grandfather, probably. He was very literally a sadistic bastard who ran a state-wide kiddie porn ring involving lots of high ranking government and university officials and was at one time under investigation by the FBI as a suspect in the Green River serial killer case. So...yeah.

I have 3 brothers.

My grandmother on my mom's side is still alive and my grandfather on my dad's side is still alive.

Yes they are.

This might not be correct, but I am almost positive the number is 33. My dad had 11 siblings.

I think my grandfather who is in his mid-80s.

My twin nieces who are going to be turning 5 next month.

My uncle.

10) Which family member do you like the least?

As far as families go, we get along pretty well. There are definitely times that I've been upset with each of them and they all have parts of their personalities that I don't care for, but I've never thought about this question before and I don't really want to answer it.

6) 2, both of my parents only have one sibling, and my dad's brother never married/had children, leaving only my mother's brother's (and his wife/my aunt) two sons.

10) My Aunt is a bit of a pain, but overall, my dad's brother. He's always been cheap and finicky. My mother thinks he's on the Autism Spectrum, though (no confirmation, just her gut feeling). He disowned us when my ex and I married, since I'm Jewish and she isn't. There were a few other reasons, but that was his main stated reason. He told us in a letter about 14 years ago and I haven't seen him since. While I like him least, I certainly don't hate him. Considering he never married and his one adult relationship that I know of seemed to peter out due to the fact that he's a city-boy and she wanted to eventually move to the country, I find it hard not to pity him.

- My maternal grandparents were dead before I knew them. My paternal grandparents just celebrated 68 years of marriage in March, but my grandfather passed away last week.

Of my immediate family, it's a toss-up between my Dad and my oldest sister; I really wouldn't be the least bit upset if I never saw either of them again. Of my in-laws---well, fuck, nearly all of them. My sister in law, though, is the worst of the bunch. She is a crazy-ass, hateful, bigoted, religious fanatic who doesn't bathe. Not that I'm judgmental, or anything.

My mother is. My father died close to two years ago.

Doubtful, having always been careful. Although there was a brief period of recklessness in the first giddy months of graduating high school and running off to hang out in New York. Which means any hypothetical stray offspring would be well into their 30s now, a horrifying thought.

Yes.

Approximately thirteen. I'm not quite sure how many kids one aunt has-- I think three. Also, she took in a couple of kids from her husband's side of the family back in the 60s when the parents were killed in a car accident, but I don't think she ever formally adopted them. Which is good, since they were both ungrateful wretches and I think one of them is in jail.

7) Who is the oldest person in your family?

I guess that would be my mother now, at 72.

My cousin Kenny just had a kid a couple of months ago (well, technically his wife did most of the heavy lifting).

That would be my nephew, who towers over me, the previous record holder (at six feet even).

10) Which family member do you like the least?

Now that I think of it, I don't dislike any of them. I didn't even really dislike my father when he was alive; I just kind of pitied him.

No. My mother passed away in 2000 and my father last November.

The mother-in-law and a sister-in-law tie for this honour. I don't think they quite know how much I dislike them because I do my best to keep the peace for my husband's sake (he doesn't fully know either), and I don't see them often anyway.
