1/350 REFIT BUILD...

Again: really great model, also, that paintjob is really good, which I also mentioned before.. eh.. awesome!

Here's a compilation of my 1/350 SPFX Videos...I have been asked to produce something longer than I usually do, So here it is...ALL with a practical model!

Beautiful! Well done!

Can you imagine this footage falling into the hands of Paramount Studios forty-one years ago? They'd turn Hollywood upside down to find the SFX team that did that!

Absolutely superb build!! Much of the footage looks as good as some of the 'hero' shots I have seen of the studio model.
Much kudos to you and your skills. :techman::beer:

Here is the final beauty pass of my personal 1/350 Refit Enterprise build.
I wanted to capture the feel and look of the miniature as it was seen in Star Trek The Motion Picture.
The Film Grain is intentional.
A couple of things...
The Model was airbrushed the four Iridescent colors(Red, green ,gold and blue)over a flat white base coat.
The model features the intricate "AZTEC" pattern all over the ship.
The Nacelles are currently removable...why? Because I continue to tweak the lighting effect.
It features a fully detailed Officers lounge.
A fully detailed Shuttle Bay.
A fully detailed botanical garden.
Filming this model was a challenge but worth the final result!
Please enjoy!
I wanted to pay tribute to the lost art of Miniature SPFX.

Gorgeous!

I have always wanted to see the TMP refit filmed in some of the more familiar TOS flyby and beauty shots. It would make the refit feel a bit more familiar with a sense of visual continuity.

What masks do you use for applying the Aztec? The Model was airbrushed the four Iridescent colors(Red, green ,gold and blue)over a flat white base coat. i think you used the Polyspar iridescent colors, but do you recommend the lacquer or acrylic? What was the flat white base coat paint - I can't remember if it is tamiya or another paint?
Absolutely fantastic work. I always love seeing this in various forums.
