1/350 Enterprise finally finished

Yes, another one! I built this for a friend who ran a hobby shop that had to close. His last day in business, a tear in his eye, he handed me this kit off the shelf, and a lighting kit, and an Aztec airbrush set as payment, and asked me to build it.

Absolutely beautiful! I am amazed as to how you got the detailing on that tiny shuttlecraft to look so clean!

[Wipes a tear from his eye] It's just so beautiful... [sigh]. I really wish I could afford one of these. Who am I kidding. The damn thing would stay in the box in perpetuity.

Really fine job Forbin. Sorry to hear about the hobby shop closing. I have plans next summer to work at a camp teaching model making in hopes of inspiring some interest. Start small to give some success and then move up. The 1/1000 scale Enterprise is on the agenda. Hopefully this will increase interest in an art that has to compete with 3d art. There is a place for both IMHO.

Again, fine job. You attention to detail is fantastic.

Sweet! Looks like the Botany Bay is just about the right scale for it! Was that a scratch build?

Forbin that is the best TOS Enterprise model I have ever seen !!! Brillant work and a Beautiful model !! Well done !!!

Tanks everybody :)

It's a resin kit made by Sovereign miniatures, also sold by Fantastic Plastic. It's billed as 1/350 scale, so yup, it should be the right size!
