007 Quatum of Solace 007 Who got it?

I ordered the movie on Blu-Ray. It should be here tomorrow. Probably going to watch it with Casino Royale back to back tomorrow.

So after the mislabeled product on Tuesday I went and picked up a new copy today. This one works fine up until Bond is stopped by the police. Right when he opens the rear compartment the damn disk skipped ahead to the part where he's crash landing the plane!

I stopped off at Target the other day, picked up a copy of the two-disc DVD, with the added book thing. I haven't opened it up yet, though.

Just need to get a copy of Casino Royale (I want that three disc release) and Never Say Never Again (which Target also has in special collector's whatever) for my James Bond collection to be complete, 'til the next one comes out.

Picked it up today, so my bond collection remains complete. I only bought the single disc, as the two disc was ten dollars more and didn't seem worth it to me. Look forward to seeing it again soon, as I didn't completely follow it in the theater.

I actually got it on Saturday early thanks to a friend and still haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Planning on seeing it later this week.

Okay, I'm home now, and the really skinny book included with the two-disc special edition available at Target is titled James Bond: Vehicles.

I debated on goin' single disc of two disc, because of the price difference, but when I saw that Target had it for the same price as Wal-Mart with the extra book thing included, I went ahead & got it. All Wal-Mart was offerin' was the single disc with a 2009 calender...and who needs a new calender at the end of March?

I picked up the 2-disc version yesterday and watched it again last night. I think I liked it a little better than when I saw it in the theater, but I'd still rate it somewhere around the middle of the pack as far as Bond movies go.

I picked up the same thing and I loved the little book. It was worth the coin.

And unlike most folks I have talked to, I enjoyed this one. It wasn't your normal Bond but I liked the story and I felt it fleshed out 007 into a more three dimensional character. Besides, we have Daniel Craig running... and running... and running some more... good gracious that man looks fantastic running.

And I must say I thought the special effects were excellent. But I have to say that I was very impressed with the aerial sequence. It was amazingly rendered and executed. It blows the last big plane chase (in "the World Is Not Enough"?) out of the water in terms of effects. The previous one looked like something out of a very bad video game.

Interesting. I didn't like it as much as I wanted to because I felt it didn't flesh out Bond enough. We got a few moments, like Mathis' death scene, but for the most part it didn't seem to me like they adequately addressed the emotional fallout from the previous film. The movie seemed to be just one action set piece after another to me.

I hate quoting myself but I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I've had two more copies since this post and it even happens on the DVD copy I rented as a test.

Could you try it on a different DVD player or perhaps on your PC ?

I'll be picking this up on DVD as soon as the price comes down. Unfortunately, I missed the chance to snap it up at £7. And I basically don't pay anything beyond that for ANY movie.

But I'm really looking forward to picking this one up and re-watching.

Mine works fine. I watched it last night.

7th time was the charm (yes I have returned it seven times). This one played right through the scene without difficulty.

I'm afraid I did. Tried it on the PC, a portable player, and two other TV connected players.

The customer service rep did tell me though they'd had several returns of it.

Most I can say is that its about 15 discs down in my Netflix queue.
I loaned my Casino Royale DVD out and it got returned in a crappy fashion. That persons borrowing privileges are revoked but since Daniel Craig as Bond didn't light my fire I've made no attempt to replace it like I would other films. I didn't see QoS in theaters and its position in my queue indicates my eagerness for the latest Bourne movie.

Wake me when Bond returns.

i've seen it and liked it but it wasn't all that good for me....nor was Casino Royale....they were well done but that's it....

Die Another Day was much better from either movie in my opinion....
