I don't have nor want any kids.
I even encourage people to adopt.
I also don't drive a car (useless to me), I prefer to use public transport, walk or cycle.

In terms of going vegan, I don't think the above figures are taking into account allocation of overall resources, energy and transportation that goes into rearing animals.
To say nothing of the fact that sentient animals are enslaved, forcefully bred, then tortured and killed - but, yeah, people tend to ignore these things as they don't like to talk about them and dismiss them as irrelevant.

Massive amounts of land, water and crops are allocated to animal farming. 70% of globally produced soy goes to feed animals. Humans only consume about 6% of globally produced soy, and the rest 24% is used for production of oil.

On some estimates farming accounts for about 70% of water used in the world today, but a 2013 study found that it uses up to 92% of our freshwater, with nearly one-third of that related to animal products.

To say nothing of the fact over 90 billion land animals get slaughetered every single year, and this number increases to over 1 Trillion per year when we factor in all the marine life that's caught due to overfishing.

    https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/jan/10/half-world-food-waste

Nearly 50% of globally produced food is either given to animals or simply thrown out just because it doesn't meet the supermarket aesthetic standards (there's nothing nutritionally wrong with the food in question).

    https://ourworldindata.org/global-l...ombine pastures used,and 37% of total protein.
If we combine pastures used for grazing with land used to grow crops for animal feed, livestock accounts for 77% of global farming land. While livestock takes up most of the world's agricultural land it only produces 18% of the world's calories and 37% of total protein.

Animal farming is highly damaging to the environment as a whole... as is Capitalism.
