What was the significance of the hexagonal hole with arrows pointing towards it?
He made a point of examining that but no more?

This episode is better the second time around, partcularly this sequence:
DOCTOR: (angry) That's when I remember! Always then. Always then. Always exactly then! I can't keep doing this, Clara! I can't! Why is it always me? Why is it never anybody else's turn?
BLACKBOARD: How are you going to win?? (seven underlines.)
DOCTOR: Can't I just lose? Just this once?
(He hides under the time rotor assembly.)
DOCTOR; Easy. It would be easy. It would be so easy. Just tell them. Just tell them, whoever wants to know, all about the Hybrid.
(The Doctor is sitting on the ground in a channel cut part way through the Azbantium, as the Veil arrives in room 12. In the Tardis, in his head, he comes out and runs around the console room.)
DOCTOR: I can't keep doing this. I can't! I can't always do this! It's not fair! Clara, it's just not fair! Why can't I just lose?
BLACKBOARD: No!
DOCTOR: But I can remember, Clara. You don't understand, I can remember it all. Every time. And you'll still be gone. Whatever I do, you still won't be there.
Now I know what he's talking about here. Ouch.

The layer stone he dug up in the grave telling him to go to room 12 used to live there in that gap.
Personally my mind went somewhere else entirely first.
The early seasons of Smallville were about a Hexagonal key that turned on the space ship, or turned on the Kryptonian computer console hidden in the Cowachi caves.
Personally I think its a bit of a perfect storm of reasons. Be interesting to see what kind of a relaunch S10 turns out to be...whenever it arrives![]()
Personally, I would like S10 to stop the "Am I a good man?" theme and just give us a good Doctor who travels through space and time with a companion, having fun adventures and saving people.
Also the first time someone has said "ass"on DW. The Daily Fail will not be pleased.![]()
I didn't even notice the music, but then again I usually don't
I'm assuming the hybrid thing isn't to be taken literally. It's not that the Doctor has 50% Dalek DNA or summat, but that's he's symbolically half Dalek because of his blood thirsty nature at times. He destroyed the entire Dalek race and the Time Lord race, at least until Moffat ret-conned it away...

Guessing you guys missed the bit in this one where it was specifically said that the hybrid was NOT half-Dalek at all. That was just Davros' interpretation of the "two great warrior races" bit, and of course it would be, given that he created the Daleks and views them as the ultimate warriors with the Time Lords as their only match. The prophecy is thought to mean that the Hybrid is half Time Lord and half Dalek.

We have already seen a half-Dalek in New York and not only did it not turn out well but he was boring and stupid looking (IMO)
The Doctor does NOT know he's in the confession dial and that the Time Lords are behind it (if in fact they are) at the point he says that. He's still trying to work out the puzzle. (EDITED TO ADD: Actually he does. I forgot he says that at the end when he's already broken through to Gallifrey; I had thought it was when he was in the turret looking at the stars. Guess I need to pay attention! Anyway, I think we'll just have to wait until Saturday to find out what all this business is really about. How can it be the Time Lords he thinks he's talking to, when he just sent the boy to go tell them he's arrived? He must think he's talking to someone else, maybe Missy?)But the Time Lords seem to believe that the hybrid is half-dalek too. Why else would the Doctor speak to the Time Lords via the confession dial and say that they are wrong about that? Plus, the Doctor says that the Daleks would never allow anything to be half-Dalek seeing as they are so fanatic about racial "purity". Davros created the Daleks so surely he would know that too. Moreover, he is the one that gave them that fanaticism! So, it is a bit silly for Davros to think that the Hybrid is half-Dalek. Why is why I interpret the half-dalek interpretation as being figurative not literal.
Could very well be!^ I actually wonder if it's Missy who's behind the confession dial trap?
The hybrid is quite likely going to turn out to be Ashildr, who calls herself "Me"; not that I wouldn't LOVE for the Doctor-is-half-human thing from the TV movie to be revisited!
