An alright but not great finale. It wrapped things up in a decent enough fashion I suppose. Q returning at the end was the cherry on top in course correcting from the previous 2 seasons. Can't say I'm too happy about the Titan-A being turned into the Enterprise-G though.
It went from a proposed series, to a mini series now to a one off tv movie but this Section 31 thing is finally getting made so we don't have to suffer anymore discussion about it.
Anyone else disappointed that the Changelings were reduced to being tools of the Borg who are the main guys again? It seems the Changeling infiltration of Starfleet is essentially relegated to a secondary plot point.
Just watched episode 9 and it's interesting how a lot of the predictions written on here came true - the connection between Jack and the Borg, all Starfleet ships being connected and the return of the repaired Enterprise D as the only unconnected ship to save the day.

Something that might be interesting for season 2 would be a flashback episode about Robert April taking charge of the Enterprise for the first time to see its first mission. Perhaps they could also do an episode about the Enterprise discovering a lost 22nd century NX class ship.
I don't care about this Starfleet Academy series, I just hope any other live action series that gets made isn't about Section 31 or any characters that appeared in Picard or any other legacy character.
I think even you would agree that's highly unlikely. Some Star Trek fans won't even bother watching it and those who do will only be those invested enough in the characters and events from Discovery. Granted of course there will inevitably be critics who will give it good reviews.
I grew up with TNG/DS9/VOY on the BBC in the 90s and remember the TNG and Generations toys being in the shops which my brother was really into. Then Enterprise came out on Channel 4 in 2001 and it wasn't as good and Nemesis was another disappointment.
Star Trek was dead for a long time after...
