Spoilers review and recriminations about Spock's Brain (part satire)

I found the episode entertaining because of its absurdity. When I first watched it as a kid I was kind of freaked out of the macabre procedure of having Spock assist McCoy with his own brain surgery, lol. I guess brain surgery is a part of every Vulcan's education.

    Poll The Guidelines are...

I was a fan of "Red Shirt Diaries". I believe each episode came in under the time restrictions, however it breaks #1 of the guidelines is in its episodic nature. I wonder if parodies are pretty safe because they can't be mistaken for the original series?

    JAMES CAWLEY SPEAKS!

I don't know much about tax law, but I would say the main reason besides assurance to the donors is for tax purposes. I'd be surprised if most fan-films accepting donations on that level didn't file for that tax-exempt status. I wonder if STNV and Renegades filed for it? Like I said, I...

    New Appreciation for TAS

I don't know, I don't recall many sci-fi cartoons in that period. Maybe some of the comics-based or anime stuff like "Battle of the Planets"? I've seen screen-caps but not the actual show.

    New Appreciation for TAS

Yarn-ball, fuzzy planets and the star fields. I think those were the worst animation in the series.

    New Appreciation for TAS

I looked forward to it every Sat morning as a kid. It was great to re-watch them so many years later on Netflix. I particularly enjoyed the sequel episodes.

    JAMES CAWLEY SPEAKS!

A few of them moved on to "When the Train Stops", a Twilight-Zone-esque short film being produced by Lisa Hansel and directed by James Kerwin. It stars Vic Mignogna , Michael Forest, John Delancie and Rekha Sharma. Originally Kipleigh Brown was going to play a role, but had to bow out and...

Star Trek Continues studio transferred to Ray Tesi's "Stage 9 Studios LLC"

If I'm not mistaken, I believe most of the set construction crew are local so hopefully Ray Tesi can keep these folks. They did an amazing job.

    Best fan film scene Ev-Ah

Fascinating, it's interesting to see some of his career potential at that age.

STC makes ISOs, artwork, scripts available for download

They've pulled the iso files for a few days to create a better interface, but the music, artwork and scripts are still available. I'm enjoying the heck out of music downloads.

Poll STAR TREK CONTINUES: "To Boldly Go (Parts I & II)" - Grading & Discussion Thread

Another amazing score by Andy Farber (NotHerbert on the forum) and an interesting interview with Craig Huxley and his Blaster Beam.

Poll STAR TREK CONTINUES: "To Boldly Go (Parts I & II)" - Grading & Discussion Thread

Hannah, one of the production members, posted this BTS recap of the entire series. I love the music and editing in this. They look like they are having way too much fun considering the amount of work they put into this series. ;) Enjoy!

Shatner gives his opinion on Trek Continues

Maybe there's a list of associates who he personally tweets to, but it could be that the rest of the content is outsourced.

Poll STAR TREK CONTINUES: "To Boldly Go (Parts I & II)" - Grading & Discussion Thread

I believe he says "sabo-taage" somewhere as a minor easter egg and nod to Shatner that made it in, but the "barrage" bit was strictly in the gag-reel..

Sorry, that was directed to the post above yours.. I should have included the quote. Fixed.

Poll STAR TREK CONTINUES: "To Boldly Go (Parts I & II)" - Grading & Discussion Thread

I totally disagree that he's imitating, not acting. There was some good acting throughout the series that took Kirk into completely different areas than Shatner went. Second, it's a gag reel for chrissake, lol.

    "Please Stand BY" ... a movie about a fan-film

Looks fun and I've always been a Dakota Fanning fan, so two pluses there.
