I really rather enjoyed it.
Family stuff dragged a bit and Yaz is still horribly underused but it had a nice sense of pace to it. I actually loved the Murray Gold-esque soundtrack.
Easily the best episode of the season.
Its a shame that Netflix are not going to carry Short Treks for now but can't see any evidence for the future deal being questioned other than the OP.
Pretty sure they are part funding DSC so I can't see why they would want to pull out now.
I always thought "decommissioned" was an odd line.
How could Starfleet know what kind of shape the Enterprise was in? Can only be that they are retiring the ship/class. Seems a little shitty to just tell Uhura over the comm though. The 23rd Century equivalent of breaking up via text...
You know its the same set right?
They changed it between TSFS and TNG but the walls, ladder and lift are all in the same spot and pretty sure the second level is exactly the same. I presume the Warp Core (sadly) went in the bin.
You know there is nothing to suggest in canon that the Enterprise A was a new build. Could have been an older Connie with the numbers burned off. I think MR SCOTTS GUIDE TO THE ENTERPRISE (which isn't canon) suggests the ship was christened as the USS Ti Ho (:wtf:), but they changed the name...
The Axanar twitter account sure has a lot of "bot" followers. Hundreds of people last tweeted on the 24th April.
Very strange.
I wonder if they paid for followers or something.
In one of the podcasts, Peters mentioned that "they had their own licensing program"
How does that work???
Another line of income that doesn't show up anywhere on the financial report.
Good article Michael.
That's been my thoughts for the last few days. Also, have you noticed how many views the horizon trailer has?
Over 3 million!!!
Way more than Axanar.
This movie looks like it was made for less than Alec Peters wages last year... :D

I have TWOK on blu but it's it got the Peters special feature on it which now taints it.
Will have to burn it and pull the old VHS out of the attic*
(*Who am I kidding, I have two copies of TWOK on DVD as well as the VHS and Blu-Ray copies... :D)
Genuinely, I've was ambivalent at the start of all this. Saw prelude, thought it was okay - was interested to see the final product.
This is getting more bizarre by the day though.
Peters is an actual arsehole.
I'm pretty sure they are trying to attract an audience that doesn't know Star Trek. People stopped watching it last time so they cancelled it.
If they try and copy what went before we are fucked. Also (to try and keep it on topic) I'll bet my mortgage it wont look anything like Axanar and those...
