Choosing a different career path is not a failure.
She's openly said several times that acting was not a career than interested her any more.
She didn't fail, she chose to do something else.
Which I followed up with "she can only seek help if she chooses too." Both together add up to the same point being made.
Please don't take things out of context.
You cant help someone with an addiction.
she can only seek help, if she herself chooses.
Even then, once an addict always an addict.
It's something you fight with daily for the rest of your life.
She's had the problem way back when she was a young woman on Voyager. You can see why they kept...
Knew that years ago.
that was my point. I had told everyone back during Voyager season 1 that she used to show up to conventions high but nobody believed it.
Folks believed the actors and the characters they play were one and the same. Because Kes was innocent, so must Jen Lien.
Surprise!
Folks say they don't care about what goes on behind the scenes but start a post about Robert Beltran and folks can't wait to start talking shit about the man. Don't even know the man in any way personally.
Fans ran Will Wheaton of the show due how badly they spoke of him.........and he was...
Umm, no. I clearly stated that if you hear the same reports about someone over the years it's possible there is some truth to them. Didn't base it on one report about Mulgrew but rather repeated accounts of her personality over the years.
So you base someones reputation based on only one...
Pretty much.
Let's be honest, if the reports on the set of OITNB are factual.
She's not just criticizing, she's being purposefully condescending to boost her own ego.
Sounds like something Madonna would do.
Yep, diva complex.
Booooooooooring!
I don't feel the character brought anything to the show beyond the first episode.
I found the writing for the character as limited as the range of actress that played her.
The character was clearly overshadowed by more dramatic characters with bolder personalities too match.
I believe it's possible.
There has been enough mentioned over the years about Mulgrew's diva attitude for me to believe it's possible.
I don't think that means much.
If you were her co-star, how would it look on you too invite the rest of your co-workers(cast) to holiday dinner and not her...
Completely missing the point of a handicapped character overcoming their limitations and being a fully functional member of society or how it gives him a leg up on equality, huh?
