The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

So many alien headshots. Unless it's like The Undiscovered Country wherein he pops one in the head, it doesn't die, and another alien reminds him not all aliens keep their brains in their heads...

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Trends don't always continue, yes. If they did we'd al be amassing Pet Rock collectiosn and wearing bellbottoms, while combing our mullets.

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Well, my additional take -- feel free to disagree all you want: Modern Polished-turd Hollywood is doing several things at once. Aside fro mthe fact a large profit from their films is now made in China and that they make the films to be allowed by the Chinese Communist Party to even be shown...

Janeway: "What is this? Some kind of long-range sensor scan of an unknown space phenomena?" Torres: "A vagina. Since 7 was assimilated young, we're going to have to teach her about the birds and the bees." "I knew I shouldn't have replicated a Dilophosaurus for a pet." That...

Why was the USS Enterprise F decommissioned so early?

Yes, but like I said, you're expecting too much from television, and you're assigning what is to ther 24th and 25th centirues. OSHA hundreds of years from now? About as likely as McDonald's on Earth in the 24th century. Oh course nobody wants their panels to explode, but those redshirts gotta...

Why was the USS Enterprise F decommissioned so early?

Same thing happened in Star Wars as Disney kept making things -- stuff from games, fanbooks, etc., made their way in. Two or three (as I recall) in "Star Wars: Rebels" alone. The number of poor choices appears to be directly proportional to the poor choices in franchise and people chosen to...

Why was the USS Enterprise F decommissioned so early?

You miss the unspoken overarching point: in a perfect future with no exploding panels and constant technological improvements hundreds of years from now, it makes no sense people are fat and bald. It makes no sense they feel the need to drink. It's unrealistic to even think anybody would...

Why was the USS Enterprise F decommissioned so early?

I know, I know, but sometimes we as fans expect too much from the made-up 23rd/24th/25th centuries that have fat people, bald people, thick computer screens, and the need to fake drink synthahol. If nothing exploded, nothing blew, and there were no real issues, it would be pretty boring.

Why was the USS Enterprise F decommissioned so early?

TWo warp cores, huh. I mean, how many times did the warp core come close to breaching/breached? Now imagine twice the trouble. Two Engineers? One can handle both? Just look how much work Geordi had maintaining the ship -- he barely had tiem for holographic women that rejected him. More...
