I understand your feelings, but I think that you'll enjoy the movie, regardless of camera movements that you may not like :). If you want a steady cam in movies, pick yourself up some early Kevin Smith flicks. The camera doesn't move hardly at all. (I'm just messin with ya' ;).)

It surely did. Another great example, so I don't think that people should get so bent out of shape about it. I'm sure that the Enterprise was taken to a starbase to finish up for her maiden voyage, which is what's most important.

You're exactly right:). What caused the Enterprise D to crash was the fact that the impulse drives failed coming into the atmosphere too fast and the shockwave from the other half of the ship. But if not for that they could've flown and landed with no problem.

All that you said is true when using the warp drive in atmosphere, which can destroy the whole planet, but impulse is ok to use in atmosphere. Go back and watch episodes of Voyager because that is a great example of landing a Federation starship.

I, honestly, quite enjoyed the trailer, and J.J. hasn't let me down yet. The movie looks like it's going to make a lot of people put their foot in their mouth when they see it because this is the way that Star Trek is supposed to look. May seems to far away.

In short, I believe that bringing in a new show will not hurt the franchise at all, as long as it has a producer who will show a love for Star Trek that we all have, and bring in great writers like the legendary D.C. and the Reeves-Stevens power force, and don't forget, the show will also need...
