Actors/characters/plots/ships/etc. you want to see in Star Trek XII?

Re: What do you want to see in Star Trek XII (The Sequel) ?? I think Khan getting ahold of the Doomsday Machine would be a good story for a new movie, but that's just an idea.

TWO Chekov's, both alike in dignity! (Yelchin is a DIFFERENT Chekov)!!

Re: TWO Chekov's, both alike in dignity! (Yelchin is a DIFFERENT Cheko I believe Yelchin did an extraordinary job at portraying Chekov. I was a little worried when I first found out that he would be playing Chekov, but now that I've seen the movie I believe that my worries were for nothing...

Star Trek end credits and soundtrack discussion thread

I see that several people think that the soundtrack was "bland" and not very engaging, but I think we are listening to different scores, because I find the score to this movie the best I've heard since the original score for The Motion Picture, if not better. It sounds like one of the most epic...

How I'm Dealing with this New Movie

I can't get over how great this movie is. I can't find one thing wrong with it, which is why I wonder why people are trying to find reasons not like it by hating "nothing". It's a fun, exciting Trek film that I believe Gene would be proud of. I'm especially assured that he is probably smiling at...

The Official STAR TREK Grading & Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]

I agree. I actually liked that flare effect because it made me feel like I was on the bridge and seeing the anomaly on screen, or I was in a well lit bar. It's almost trademark worthy for J.J.

The Official STAR TREK Grading & Discussion Thread [SPOILERS]

Star Trek is officially back!!! Well, it's taken me a few days to get to the site to post my review, as little as it will be, but I'm here now and I have to say...WOW! Star Trek was the best Trek movie I've ever seen in theaters. The scale of this movie was phenominal and the acting was 110%...

ENT Forum Get To Know You Thread Pt 2

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to say that it is an honor to be a part of this forum and I just want to show my love of Star Trek. First off, I have to say that Enterprise is my favorite of all the series, and no I'm not a newcomer to Trek by any means. I've grown up watching it and I love watching...

    SCIENCE fiction or science FICTION...

I really enjoy the science behind Trek as well, but I believe that they shouldn't have too much science that we get lost, but enough in a way that it's very interesting and it teaches a lesson, something that you can say "Well, now I've learned something new today." The fiction behind Trek has...

    Romulans should've looked like Vulcans

I don't believe that there should be much of a difference between the two either because we all know that Romulans are the long loast brothers of the Vulcan race. The only difference we should see is in their facial expressions, like pure hate and demonic grins lol.

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

I'm really interested in this idea that you guys are coming up with, being that I was a huge fan of the Enterprise series, but you know that other fans are going to make a huge fuss lol. Oh well, you can't please everybody. I still love em' just the same. We're all fans and should get along.

TNG fans please identify yourselves ...

I've enjoyed TNG for many years. Data has always been my most favorite character with Q being my favorite guest star. My favorite episode would have to either be Q Who?, Best of Both Worlds 1 & 2, or Yesterday's Enterprise. I also love all the episodes that allowed the characters to be other...

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

Lol, of course the Enterprise wasn't made to fly in the atmosphere, but here's the description from the writer's perspective on the Enterprise being constructed on Earth: "One example of a concept which seemingly contradicts Star Trek canon but came from the precedent set in the novels was...

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

I understand your feelings, but I think that you'll enjoy the movie, regardless of camera movements that you may not like :). If you want a steady cam in movies, pick yourself up some early Kevin Smith flicks. The camera doesn't move hardly at all. (I'm just messin with ya' ;).)

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

It surely did. Another great example, so I don't think that people should get so bent out of shape about it. I'm sure that the Enterprise was taken to a starbase to finish up for her maiden voyage, which is what's most important.

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

You're exactly right:). What caused the Enterprise D to crash was the fact that the impulse drives failed coming into the atmosphere too fast and the shockwave from the other half of the ship. But if not for that they could've flown and landed with no problem.

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

All that you said is true when using the warp drive in atmosphere, which can destroy the whole planet, but impulse is ok to use in atmosphere. Go back and watch episodes of Voyager because that is a great example of landing a Federation starship.

Official Trailer Review & Comments Thread!! [Spoilers, of course]

I, honestly, quite enjoyed the trailer, and J.J. hasn't let me down yet. The movie looks like it's going to make a lot of people put their foot in their mouth when they see it because this is the way that Star Trek is supposed to look. May seems to far away.

    Keep Trek off TV

In short, I believe that bringing in a new show will not hurt the franchise at all, as long as it has a producer who will show a love for Star Trek that we all have, and bring in great writers like the legendary D.C. and the Reeves-Stevens power force, and don't forget, the show will also need...

    Keep Trek off TV

In my opinion, I've seen way too much hate for the past couple of series. I've been a huge fan of DS9, Voyager(not as much), and Enterprise(my fav. since TNG), and I've seen a huge rip in the fabric of fandom since the announcement of the cancellation of Enterprise. I've seen so many haters...

    "Hook"...do you like it?

I've loved Hook since I was a kid and I still love it to this day. I also believe that 2003's Peter Pan was an excellent companion piece to this movie. I love the fact that in Hook, you have Robin Williams, comedian that is unbelievable as Peter Banning, but then when you actually watch the...
