I really enjoyed the first season Discovery. I grew to really like Michael Burnham and I thought the cast overall was excellent. Storytelling wise, it was sometimes a little hard to follow, but I thought the twist was effective.
I want to get to know some of the other cast members better like...
I used to listen to Shatner’s audiobooks back in the day on cassette whenever I would have to drive long distances. I loved them and have downloaded the digital versions of both movie memories books, especially since cars don’t come with cassette players anymore.
But the Get a Life book is...
In Star Trek Movie Memories, they talked briefly about being Bennett getting knocked around by Leonard Nimoy, a Star director during STIV. Are there any books, articles or any other information on this? (Damn auto correct on the title of this post.)
Need to vent!!!!
Ok, so I’ve been trying to watch Trek in chronological order. I’ve never seen DS9, Voy or Enterprise all the way through.
And as a lifelong Star Trek fan, I feel like it’s my duty to watch them all, especially now that I saw Picard Season 1 and the series has tie ins to...
So I’ve read a lot about how Gene Coon was one of the brains behind the very best Star Trek episodes.
But unless I misunderstood, he wrote Spock’s Brain under his pseudonym.
What the hell happened?
Did Coon drop the ball and make a human mistake? Did somebody take a good story and just...
Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems to me that it’s a bit trendy in here to roast Roddenberry.
Being pretty familiar with his flaws, I sorta understand that those flaws keep us fans in check that he wasn’t a saint or anything.
Are there people here who can’t stand him or something?
I’m re-reading TMP novel for the first time since 7th grade or so (around 1989), and I just noticed Roddenberry said Matt was Will’s father.
I thought that it was a common error fans made (including me back in the day) because I read somewhere that they’re not related, but I guess they are...
Did anyone else make the connection that the planet in that video game and its aliens are the same as in Doctor’s Orders?
Ive bebe seen anyone make the connection.
I had the game for the Commodore 64, and never got far.
The novel, I read back when it came out, was great. Both were written by...
I’m watching the last episode:
And I say, they pull a Cage and scrap the ENTIRE supporting cast.
Bring back Patrick Stewart, and his roommates.
Rios, Raffi, Jurarti are all cookie cutter stereotypes.
Wipe them out. ALL of them.
I absolutely miss the numbers by the novels.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they didn’t make sense story wise (TWOK #17, TSFS #34 or whatever it was), but I loved it because I could keep track of what I was missing in my collection.
I listened to The Entropy Effect with George Takei (with Leonard Nimoy as Spock).
I enjoyed it, especially when listening to Nimoy.
Do you guys like Takei’s narration?
I think this may have been addressed a few years ago, but I can’t remember.
I liked Carol and thought Besch and Shatner had great chemistry. I enjoyed seeing this mature relationship at work. It’s a shame we never see her again.
I suppose she ultimately wasn’t needed per se. But we’re there...
