    BattleTech

Just finished it up last night myself, yeah. That was fantastic and... rough. Going back into the Barracks in the post-campaign, phew. PGI outdid themselves with the story and writing for this one. Jade Falcons next would make sense, we got a cameo from Marthe Pryde after all. If they set it...

Spoilers Thunderbolts* grade and discussion thread

That was much better than I would have expected when the cast of characters was first announced. I liked that everybody got something to do, and as somebody who thought the Sentry's entry into Marvel Comics was exceptionally hamfisted I love what they did with Bob here. I do wish that we'd...

NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

As an Eagles fan, I side with Washington any day of the week against Dallas.

    BattleTech

I read the universe primer for Battletech Gothic and while I'm not terribly interested it also doesn't seem to be as far afield as I feared. The monsters are genetic engineering of megafauna taken to a further step than we ever saw in the official universe, and the rest of the universal...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

That's a funny way of spelling Kingdom Come. :shifty:

    BattleTech

On happy and exciting news, there's a DLC coming for Clans! After the layoffs at the start of the year, I was worried but Flash Storm looks like a full expansion essentially with new mechs, new story, and a variety of other things. Here's the link. 4 new Omnimechs, and 4 Battlemechs. Most...

    NFL 2024: Chiefs Kingdom Targets a Three-Peat

No way the NFL was going to allow anybody but the Chiefs to the Superbowl... especially after Philly got through. Continuing the chance to anoint a true dynasty? Check. Repeating two years ago? Check. The Andy Reid connection? Check. The Kelce family drama? Check. The Swiftie fanbase? Check...

    College Football 2024

Hell of a game. I was rooting for Notre Dame and when Ohio State was running away with it it was pretty disgusting, but the Irish fought back well and proved they belonged. Overall I think this first year of the 12-team format has been very very successful.

    NFL 2024: Chiefs Kingdom Targets a Three-Peat

Damn shame about the Lions but it seems safe to say they'll be back. Eagles!!! Now if they can just take down the Commanders.... who I also wouldn't mind too terribly. And hopefully the Bills can finally break whatever magic the Chiefs have got.

    College Football 2024

Not the way I wanted it to go in the end, but a hell of a game. Hopefully Drew Allar can come back and lead the Nittany Lions to another great year. Meantime, however the second game goes, let's go Notre Dame for the championship!

    College Football 2024

The Music City Miracle and making the Super Bowl, knocking the Chiefs out of the playoffs in 2017, and being the team that ended Brady's New England dynasty - with an interception, no less! But the early 00s Titans - McNair, George, Frank Wycheck, Javon Kearse, etc - were the best. McNair's...

    College Football 2024

Sorry, but none of those can measure up to a 15 year old having one of the greatest (the greatest?) sporting moments in his entire life. ;) And you missed the crushing heartbreak at the end of the ecstasy if you didn't watch the Superbowl that year!

    College Football 2024

Oh gawd. Mike's entitled to where he wants to go of course, but nothing's ever going to match the Music City Miracle call.

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Mmm I think more importantly, it's hard to trust the YouTube viewcount for much anymore with how they've been open about both removing views on occasion, and that ad-buying of views is likely more common than a decade ago. (Which doesn't eliminate that Gunn's movie looks far superior to me and...

    NFL 2024: Chiefs Kingdom Targets a Three-Peat

Shameful of the Pats, Mayo was the one reason I kinda didn't hate them this year. Probably going for Vrabel as @BillJ suggested, and as a Vrabel fan... I hate it even more. I'd love if Vrabel turned them down in solidarity with his former teammate, but that's obviously unlikely. They'll...

Tom Holland is great, Zendaya is great, but too much Stark, and Peter has been stuck in his high school years in adaptations this entire century, mooooooove onnnnn.

    College Football 2024

Saw this on Reddit from a Georgia fan, and it basically sums up how I feel: "A whole generation of fans have now been raised in this media environment that promotes conference loyalty and everything being national. They literally have never seen anything else, and so it feels so normal to...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

Odd comparison. If I'm watching Joe Burrow, I want to see him fling the hell out of the ball downfield, not line up and try to block on the O-line. The challenge is in seeing him be a master at his craft. Every now and then a flea-flicker can be a lot of fun and really spice up the game, and I...
