I have no idea what the point of this show was other than to just throw random bits of Star Wars content out there to fill the requisite weeks up for Disney+.
No consistency, no coherence...no point really.
Holden is not an idiot at all. As Avsarala says he's extremely naive especially at the start, and extremely lucky. But allot of the characters are lucky to some degree by making it to the end of the show in this harsh world.
I've never understood some people's inability to understand different story telling mediums are just that different. Doing a simple retelling of a book to a TV show doesn't work for many reasons. Changes will and need to happen. These complaints happen every time a new series or movie comes out.
Pretty much anything 'Mirror Universe'. The OG Trek episode should have been the only one ever done.
I say this as a massive DS9 fan too. They kept going back and it was never good IMO.
Some show it some don't. Been watching a ABC show called Big Sky and they only vaguely mention it early and then essentially ignore it afterwards. There are some I've seen trailers that show face masks and plastic panels. I personally don't care for it. There's so much of it in real life I don't...
This 4 hour thing is sounding more like a train wreck to me. Snyder going full "snyder" in his vision with this thing. The weird aspect ratio and now learning it as some huge cliff hanger for a movie that won't get a sequel.
I thought they handled Alex well. I don't think anybody who doesn't know about the behind the scenes issues will think it wasn't always planned.
Overall a really good ending for the season. Now the Roci crew is back together and were ready for the big one to happen. Hope they can 'stick the...
This was the seasons best episode IMO. Some terrific writing and the actors showing off how good they are. Things are happening, its just not all pew pew and explosion's. We also have a half dozen different viewpoints so its jumping around allot. We are seeing a new/changed Avasiralla, Drummer...
Yea by then someone will be able to just take a random book and have their equivalent of a personal computer CGI/Deepfake an entire movie for them in minutes.
First two were fun for the most part. Thankfully they are both short with both together equaling about a single normal TV episode. Given the budget I assume some pretty big scale action should be happening soon.
I haven't even gotten around to watching the last to episodes yet. Not sure if I ever will. Realizing I was still watching mostly out of some "obligation" because it was Trek. Don't have to like or have even seen all 800+ TV episodes ands every movie to be a fan.
This show was already one of my favorite series before the current season but these first 4 are just so good. Writers, directors, cast, production values. There's no weak point I can see. Modern serialized television at its best.
We can hope that this show is the template for all the announced Star Wars going forward and not the hot garbage that J.J. and Rian dumped on us.
Star Wars will have a bright future is so.
As for some of the criticisms like the Jedi action and Luke's face etc. remember that while they are...
