    Another bunch of 3D models

I usually print at 230/85 first layer and 240/90 for all other layers for PETG on my Prusa. I usually use Sunlu and Eryone filaments in PETG so your setting of course could vary. I am using a Nozzle X and that may affect temps also.

    Vonda McIntyre reference in STXI?

Call up Harlan Ellison, he might want to start a class action suit here. :D

Fans, why did the ratings slide?

The whole Bajoran prophet thing turned me off. I though it was just plain silly. Also the ferengi episodes and any episode that featured Vic were my least favorites. And Worf, you would have never known that he spent all that time in a relationship with a counsellor from the way he acts. The...

    The 'oldies' of TrekBBS reunite...

I joined in May 2001 to post a couple of thoughts on the upcoming Enterprise series. I lurked around here for years before and still am more of a lurker than a poster. I get a kick out of the noobie admirals that think they have to post on every thread to increase their count. These kids crack...

    YouTube issues.

I don't know if it is the problem, but 288mb of memory is terrible. Is that all that is free? What is the total ram? What is the processor speed. Hard drive size and free space? Video, card or on board? Internet speed? Adding more ram and upgrading to SP3 could help. Always make sure you have...

    Star Trek: Kelvin

If you look at the 3 nacelle ship you notice that the center one was longer than the outer ones. I would think that the center nacelle was the same type as the Kelvin with 2 coils and the outer smaller ones only had one coil each. Loooking at that design makes me think of the old Franz Joseph...

    Star Trek: Kelvin

With everything that has been thrown out since the original series, I wonder how the warp engine thing still hangs around. As far as anyone knows their may be a pair of warp coils in that single nacelle and it may very well follow Roddenberry's Law. It sure is big enough. On the original...

Who wants this movie on home video NOW?

At my local Cinemark all shows are $2.75 before 6:00. I've seen plenty of those flea market DVDs, save yourself some time and money and watch it on the big screen without all the jaggies. You never see everything in those crummy disks.

    I don't think Vulcan [SPOILERS]

Re: I don't think Vulcan was really destroyed The Narada and Jellyfish went through the singularity, Vulcan collapsed and formed one. When the Narada was struck and formed a singularity it could not escape and was destroyed by the Enterprise. Vulcan is gone. :rommie:

    Star Trek: Kelvin

I am altering my original concept to reflect the last position of the Kelvin. My second viewing of tne movie was not in a big group like the first and I was able to notice things I had not seen the first time. Edited My basic premise for the show would be a Gunsmoke to the Stars. The Kelvin...

    Star Trek: Kelvin

In the movie Pike states he was assigned a disertation on the Kelvin. That probably means he was in the academy sometime after the incident, not on the Kelvin. I am not familiar with the Starfleet Core of Engineer books, so I am not sure how that would fit in with what we know of the Kelvin and...

    Star Trek: Kelvin

I had some doubt's about Chris when I seen some interviews, but I found he was believable as George Kirk on screen. As for Captain Sulu adventures, George Takei may be a good Sulu, but he is not a Jim Kirk type. Something about his performance in Trek VI irks me. Robau just seems better. I...

Maybe the mods could add "spoilers" to the title. The way this is going we may need it. Sorry!

    Star Trek: Kelvin

I did not see Pike putting up much of a fight. Robau knew he was going to die and he faced it like a man and showed no fear of it.

I would like to think Winona was in starfleet, but as what I am not sure. I think she should come later in the series. She may have to be recast as Jennifer Morrison would not leave a hit show for a maybe.

I wish we were able to see more of the other ships. I wonder if they will be published in one of the fan magazines? I love your new avatar Dennis. I think it is your best yet.

    Star Trek: Kelvin

The Kelvin would be based at Station R-11, a station similar to K-7. Updated to reflect the Nu-trek styling. R-11 would have four arms on it, two with drydocks and the other two with living quarters. Most of the other Romulan Neutral Zone posts would be built on asteroids, making R-11 a major...

    U.S.S. Voyager

This is great. The Miranda needs an update. It is an old tired design.

    Star Trek: Kelvin

My basic premise for the show would be a Gunsmoke to the Stars. The Kelvin would be a Scout/Destroyer Vessel. It's mission would be to patrol the area around the Neutral Zone. After the Romulan War, Starfleet was stetched thin. The area there became lawless. Orions, Nausicans and Tholians are...
