Here's my theory: Since Lieutenant Commander Una Chin-Riley is an Illyrian she will never be promoted to captain. I think at the end of the series she will leave Starfleet and return to her people, maybe engaging in space exploration with them.
Thoughts?
MY LATEST WILD SPECULATION which I have also posted elsewhere:
I have to say, I think I would prefer the connection Picard and the ultimate villain not be a new/old Borg threat. Even if they use something from the Borg and the villain is something else, I would prefer that. In the end though...
Another wild, but grounded speculation. Commodore's late wife was killed in the synth attack of Utopia Planitia Ship Yards and he has become SUPER protective of his daughters and more risk averse. Maybe he in some ways blames Picard for that because of his connection to the Romulans. Thats it...
So, yeah I have heard the Borg nanite theory, which is a possibility. But it seems to me that a Borg connection would be less interesting. Plus, why have changelings after him? The red color and red door and growing vines would make more sense as a changeling connection. What would motivate...
My wild fan theory: Somehow a Changeling of some kind has been living dormant inside of Jack Crusher and it's the key to establishing a new Great Link. Being in close proximity to other Changelings has begun to awaken it in Jack's psyche. We have never seen a changeling enter a solid's body, but...
Can anyone pull a screenshot of Chapel wearing a never before seen white uniform tunic (with standard uniform pants) from today’s “All Those Who Wander”? It’s underneath her jacket. I’d love to see it more often.
I’d also like an explanation of the ranking system which doesn’t look quite like...
Let me clarify that I don’t have a real problem with how Sisko’s original arc ended. Brooks had them amend it so Sisko says he WILL be back, and we know time works differently for the Prophets. I simply mean to say I’d enjoy more Sisko/Brooks in Star Trek… because I just would.
I’ll never not want to see Avery Brooks play Benjamin Lafayette Sisko again. Whatever concept he approves for his character I will accept and lap it up!
Thank you.
Beverly Crusher could be the captain of the USS HOPE in season 3 of PICARD. I’d like to see here officially (not just in an alternate timeline) in that type of role.
Is anyone else hoping that in the next Kelvin timeline Star Trek film, the crew switches to an updated version of the “monster maroon” uniforms that debuted in Wrath of Khan? I have always loved them.
Keep the jackets short and tight!!!
I am guessing that they have simply been making mistakes with rank. Lets HOPE they are secretly reading this stuff and can fix these things in post. Of course these things are not the MOST important details, but they know we Trek fans love the idea of a consistent universe. In the end, with...
Wow, deep dive. Impressed. Thanks for showing us/me Lieutenant JG Joe Tormolen. I think what I said about Chapel is consistent with your words: Maybe she was a Lieutenant in TOS but that is not established until TAS. And she is eventually a full Commander, before the end of the movies. But in...
Actaully, we can wonder since La'an seemingly introduced herself to Captain Pike as Lieutenant and not Lieutenant Commander. As others have said, it's inconsistent with what we know thus far about past uses of rank bars in "The Cage" pilot, "WNMHGB", TOS in general, the Kelvin Timeline, and the...
Yes, I agree with your assesment and have notice this as well. Like, M'Benga has two larger stripes, but they are pretty far apart. And then so does Nurse Chapel. Exactly the same. This doesn't make sense if you want to be consistent with canon. Chapel had no stripes during the three years of...
Ya'll, where is Burnham's (and Book's) new qaurters in season 4?? The location and shape of the windows makes it diificult to tell. And you would think given the changes they made in the past, for example to the exterior to match Pike's Ready Room, that they would have this clearly planned out...
Picard continues to lament about what he should have done and how the Romulan evacuation could have turned out and Q says “oh really?” He snaps his fingers and Picard and crew find themselves in a fascist Federation influenced by Romulans with Sela at the helm.
In all honesty I’m still partial to the “monster maroons” of TWOK that had a very elaborate system of colors and rank insignia. I always thought they were pretty cool and would LOVE it if Emperor Georgiou ended up in that era and the designers did a slight update on those uniforms.
