Hello! Thank you for all the feedback, I was planning to continue updating this thread with pictures and stuff but I completely forgot about it and got lost with IRL stuff so I apologise xd. Anyway, I have been continuing to work on these as well as new ships and here are a few more renders...
Well I do all of my projects in creative mode and I utilise 3d models and in-game mods such as 'WorldEdit' to help me create the ship shapes. However, all of the fine details and colouring I have to do mostly by hand and the time it takes to do this varies depending on the size of the ship and...
All the ship exteriors are built using vanilla albeit with a custom resource pack. However, I have attempted a few interior areas that use modded blocks :)
I didn't use shaders for those pictures, I rendered them using a 3rd-party program called Chunky. I'm glad you like them c:
Hello!
For around 8 years now I have been working on a personal project to build 1:1 Star Trek ships in Minecraft. I was inspired to do so after my dad took me to see Into Darkness in 2013. This was my first experience of Trek and I immediately fell in love with the universe and concept of...
I am aware that I am replying to this thread almost a year after the last post but I recently created a version of the USS Salcombe in Minecraft using your model as a base. I ended up scaling her at 649m long with 25 decks and here are some renders I have made. c:
Damn, I really hope that this news is for real and Star Trek 4 is on the way soon (Somewhat xd). I love the Kelvin Timeline and have been dying for a fourth movie, it's what got me into Trek too.
I'm just a bit concerned because if this does turn out to be genuine then we likely won't see this...
I imported your 3d model of the ship into Minecraft at 335m length and then detailed it :). I also made a few changes to the ship such as a rear shuttlebay and an in-saucer deflector dish.
What do you think?
I made a post about the build on PlanetMinecraft...
These movies got me into Trek so naturally, they have a special place in my heart. I would absolutely want to see more of the Kelvin Timeline even if it means having to wait a few more years.
I am also a huge fan of the ship designs in these movies and I really want to see other types of...
I am building it in creative but I am using a tool called Worldedit which lets me place down lots of blocks at once and can also copy/paste and mirror sections. There is a tool that lets you place 3d models into Minecraft yes. A few years ago in fact I had previously built a scale Enterprise-A...
Hello! Since I completed my 1:1 version of the Enterprise Refit seen in the first half of Beyond back in early September I have been eager to start working on a new project. So for the past few weeks, I have been working on a scale version of the Enterprise-A. I plan to also give this ship a...
90% of the ship I built myself, but some friends were very kind to help with some of the repetitive parts. I used a Minecraft plugin called WorldEdit to help in building the hull as it has some useful commands for making geometric shapes like spheres and cylinders. It also has copy/paste...
It's been a long time since I posted to this thread. But, back in mid-September I finally finished all the interior work on the ship! Here are some more images of the Engineering section as well as the nacelles. I'm happy to post more screenshots if people are interested :)
