Ok… it’s got good (to the point where I’m avoiding the forum to avoid accidental spoilers).
I’ve just watched 'the visitor' - managed to get some dust in my eyes…
Some awful episodes - what was that all about when Jadzia 'met' the previous hosts?
I still find the religious episodes dull. I...
I liked the first episodes, but they started getting 'samey'. Yet another ferengi episode (although I don’t hate them), yet another political or religious episode.
I don’t want to knock it, I’m hoping to be grabbed by it at some point :hugegrin:
It’s the only series I’ve never watched and I want something new - I was hoping to see it differently through older eyes and fall in love with a new series
I’m on series 2, episode 2.
I'm not interested in Bajoran politics and religion bores me.
I was determined to sit it out until it got as good as people say it does, but my interest is waning.
I don’t dislike the music, but the best soundtrack music (IMO) is the music you don't notice, but miss if it’s not there.
I really didn’t notice it so much on my last rewatch (dvds), but had to keep turning the volume down this time (netflix). I wonder if there is actually a difference in the...
I enjoy the music, and don’t mind it in actions scenes per se, but I think this episode has more dialogue that seems to be drowned out than other episodes (maybe it was different from season 2? I’ll soon find out...)
Just rewatching and I find myself wanting to turn the music right down. Turn the volume down and the speaking is too low. The music (which is not bad in itself just drowns out the speaking and this is one episode where I want to listen to the dialogue. I wonder if there’s any way to tune it down...
I would rather remove religion totally. It seems such a human trait.
(ETA: remove from sc-fi. I’m an atheist, but not that extreme to want to remove people's religion from real life.
Wouldn’t complain if it was, though...)
Sorry, I’ve not read all 31 pages.
Why didn’t they just beam them out? What did I miss? Couldn’t Ariam just have been beamed to the brig/ behind a force field?
I’ve heard them referred to Id, Ego and Superego before now. Not sure which is supposed to be which, though! The work because they represent the 3 sides of human personality and we see the sides in ourselves. Not sure how much I go along with it...
ETA:
Id= passion
EGO= logic
Superego= Morals...
Yawn.
Why can't they invent someone new? Why do they have to keep latching onto old ground?
Yes, it can work (if you squint), but surely other characters could work without this shoehorning - why not simply have a child peer? Simple
