In order to reach the correct count for 400 I had to count every issue of any limited series that was started berfore it was printed even if the limited series ended after 400 was published.
So Stargazer and Trill would be in the "300's"
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know how IDW reached the 500 count? According to my count there has only been 93 other issues since 400 making #500 the actual 494th issue.
Those issues are
Star Trek 1-23
Lower Decks 1-3
Resurgence 1-5
SNW: The Illyrian Enigma 1-4
Defiant 1-18
Annual 1
Day of...
I spot checked a couple novels and it appears Kirsten Beyer is involved with coordinating the tie-in novels for all 3 new live-action shows. Is she or some else coordinating tie-ins for Lower Decks and Prodigy?
Also, what is her level of involvement with the comics and novels? How does it...
Hi everybody,
Back in the early days of Discovery I remember it being explained that Kirsten Beyer was coordinating the tie-in comics and novels for the series to keep them in continuity with the TV show. While they weren't canon, i think the intent was to keep them as faithful to the...
I've seen it mentioned that the Attack on Mars is supposed to happen 2 years before the Supernova. That would put it in 2385.
Is this canon and how was it established?
It was mentioned above that there might be continuity issues with the IDW Discovery Annual 2018 concerning Stamets back story. Can anybody elaborate on what these contradictions are?
Also, how severe is the discontinuity between the TV Show and Fear Itself concerning Saru’s back story and...
Discovery and Picard are not the only shows to have comic books and novels published concurrently that were overseen by a member of the staff. The Kelvin movies had comics by IDW that were overseen by Roberto Orci and a few were actually written by him and Alex Kurtzman. Also, Voyager has 2...
A couple of questions for KRAD:
1. Were there any novels that marvel considered in continuity with the comics?
2. Is there a comprehensive timeline of the order in which the novels and short stories take place? And more importantly, is there one available on the web? If I read these books I...
How far does this book go for the Kelvin timeline films? Does it include articles on Star Trek Beyond? Or does it stop with Star Trek Into Darkness?
Has there been any word on an update to the Star Trek Chronology or is some form of it included in this new edition of the encyclopedia?
Kemtrail, thanks for the answers. They were useful. I am curious why you said its better to buy the Blurays for 1-6. You didn't elaborate on those films.
I am currently looking to fill out my collection of Star Trek movies. I have the Blu-Ray set of 1-6 but I still need the TNG and Kelvin Timeline movies as well as the new 2016 version of The Wrath of Khan.
I'm debating whether to get Blu-Ray or go digital (iTunes) but am not sure about how the...
Now that Star Trek Beyond is out, did anyone notice any inconsistencies or discontinuities between the movie and the Kelvin Timeline comics? For that matter were there any foreshadowings or continuities in the IDW comics concerning the new movie?
Actually, Memory Alpha does use information from Star Trek '09 in its Prime Universe articles. If you look up James Kirk, it is states that his mother's name is Winona Kirk and his grandfathers were James and Tiberius. This information was supposedly canonized for the Prime Universe by Str...
I really like the idea of Pegg's 2-way time change and how freeing it can be for the new movies. It also makes since when you consider the explanation a previous poster had about changing the future will also change the circumstances of time travels who have affected the past.
But this leads...
Please forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering how many ways the JJ-Trek film have referenced or shown continuity with the IDW JJ-Trek comics.
I know that Countdown gave a background to Nero and Spock before Star Trek '09 came out as well as showing the circumstances...
Does anyone know if there is a significance to the fact that Roberto Orci is listed as Story Consultant on IDW's Star Trek: Ongoing but not on any of their latest JJ-Trek mini series?
He is not listed in the credits for Starfleet Academy, Manifest Destiny or the Green Lantern crossover.
Is...
Does anyone know what the sources are for the reference material in the Star Trek Database on Startrek.com and the the PADD app?
Are these just recreations of information from the Star Trek Encyclopedia, are the articles original or are they sourced from somewhere else?
Thanks and have fun...
I'm looking for a recommendation for a TOS reference/ behind the scenes history book.
I've heard good things about Inside Star Trek: The Real Story. I've heard These are the Voyages reveals a lot of new material and challenges some facts (ratings for example). And I'm curious about the Star...
