Spoilers TNG: Indistinguishable From Magic by McIntee Review Thread

Re: Star Trek: TNG: Indistinguishable From Magic Review Thread I am really enjoying this book. Just getting started and I'm already drowning in old friends! Forgive me for this, but kick-ass job, Lonemagpie. I LOLed at that, by the way. Literally. My wife came in to see what was up.

    Autosocks!

It's snowing all over Britian. They're busy. Why is this funny?

    So I cancelled Netflix today.

In interviews with Netflix's founder, he has said all along that his business model was to provide streaming movies. The dvds through mail thing was a means to an end... creating brand identity and a market. Clearly, as the technology has finally caught up and the ways you can stream Netflix...

    Autosocks!

Interesting. Where I live, chains are mandatory past a certain altitude when there's snow. You don't leave them on when you're not in the snow, of course. As for cables, I found them nearly useless. They're why I took the step of shelling out for the Spikes-Spiders.

Vote for your Favourite Toy Avatar

I voted for RJ Diogenes, but for the toy in his regular avatar... good ol' Goofy Grape! I also voted for think, who I find nearly incomprehensible when he posts in TNZ... but the picture with the kitty hugging the teddy is adorable!

    Autosocks!

I've got Spikes-Spiders http://spikes-spiders.com/ You attach a hub to each of your drive wheels at the start of the snowy season... it just clips onto the lug nuts... and then when there's snow the claws just snap onto the hub in seconds. They're brilliant. One recent winter Jeeps and 4x4s...

What oh what oh what is with the German scheisse fascination?

    Favorite Pop Tart?

I picked other... bluberry or brown sugar-cinnamon. Honestly, I hadn't heard of half of those women and the ones I do know I either despise or am completely indifferent to.

    So I cancelled Netflix today.

I think Netflix is brilliant, and on the three at a time plan I find the difference between 16.99 and 19.99 to be negligible. Plus I can dial it back to two at a time if needs be. Plus I use the streaming like mad on my overnight shifts at work. I certainly get my money's worth... and you can...

    Why do People like Ezri?

Ezri was a good character, and an important part of DS9's final season, because she was vulnerable and unsure of herself. That's an important part of the mix that was lost as the Bashir character developed in the late seasons. de Boer, a fine actress, brought the perspective of the naive young...

    Sticky taping kid's mouths

I think it's be OK if done by the parents. I am also OK with ritualized, non-damaging spanking and washing a child's mouth out with soap. I think we as a society shy away from these lessons and that there has been a cost in discipline and in the creation of "good citizens" who understand the...

    What's Your Earliest Memory?

People rarely believe this, but I have a vague memory of sticking my hands and my feet in my mouth and working out my own basic shape and functionality.

    Unintentionally Funny Scenes

The sheer abundance of glass coffee tables on the Enterprise D which seem specially designed to kill ambassadors and senior officers. That's funny. They can make windows from transparent aluminum but they can't make a coffee table that can withstand the impact of flesh.
