50th Anniversary Viewing (Part 2)
The Secrets of Isis
"Girl Driver"
Originally aired November 29, 1975
Susan Lawrence will go on to be one of the shrinkees on The Krofft Supershow.
There's something to be said for a girl who carries chains in her trunk. Hey, Mac, she seems like a keeper...
...fun features of his show.

There is a Trekbbs thread called "Theories about Control from Discovery season 2".
I like to joke that Gary Seven, aka Robert Lansing, is the brains behind Discovery's Control, because after all, Robert Lansing was Control in The Equalizer...
...alien. So bad.
The exploding tactical station with the two officers, was pretty impressive.
Some of Hunt's fighting was also good.
The joke throw back to "Hercules: the Legendary Journeys" was humorous.
The defensive/offensive weapons of Andromeda inside, as spoken in dialogue, are good...
...to the plot, but the mourn sub-plot makes up for that, as he's the one who resolves it. I enjoyed how they described mourn, and the in-joke continues of everyone saying he's quite the talker, but us never getting a line of dialogue from him. It helps that he's so expressive in the show, and...
...Hmm. I've actually fired a .22. Would it actually kill somebody? Would it even penetrate a human skull? :rommie:
Was that Chin's first joke? :rommie:
Well, that's no fun.
Interesting. I wonder if there are specific legal requirements that have to be met.
With a .22? :rommie:
Hmm...
Second time I watched it it bothered me less. I think they could have been cleverer as well. Andy didn't swear and made rubbish jokes so they could have played it as a lighter, almost nervous, get away from her you...you...bitch! Especially if he'd picked the word up from one of the others and...
...isn't enough: it turns up a large number of people who aren't porn stars. You have to be a bit more specific to get to the individual to whom @E-DUB refers. So I don't think we have any reason to fault Mr. Mack's research.
Which immediately makes me think of a certain joke with the punchline,
...recurring--but only for one more appearance, I think you can handle that. :p
Pretty much. :D
I was afraid that you might not get the count joke after so many years.
There are probably more than I'm noticing or thinking to mention.
There ya go.
Is that just you, or is it a regional thing...
...a restaurant that had a smoking section, it was my first non-trivial visit to New Orleans, and the non-smoking section in the restaurant was a joke!) Nor do I miss tobacco ads.
And likewise, I don't miss orchestras and classical radio stations that treat film scores (or anything else written...

Janeway: "Aaahhh ... initiate: James T. Kirk Transporter Operation Failure sequence!"
And since I win nearly all the Fart Joke awards, I might as well strive to win again with this entry:
Doctor: "...and as you can see, the shock wave and gasses from Mr. Tuvok's...
I think the joke is that the number one "concern" or reason to dismiss SFA is the fear and/or assumption that it will be in the style of shows along the lines of those you mentioned. These fans especially like to show their age by comparing it to 90210.
...episode of Star Trek Voyager: Someone to Watch Over Me
But first here're the winners of the last contest..
The highly prestigious Best Fart Joke goes to @tharpdevenport with:
Tuvok: "Captain, we have entered the gaseous anomaly, and it appears it has leaked into the Bridge, accounting...
...all of this. It also seems like Odo is going to be around to stay on DS9, not as a constable (and hopefully not as CMO, which might have been a joke from Ro or just a segue that could have implied the possibility).
Next up is the second Novella from the previous pair, The Rules of...
Don't catch measles if you are pregnant. It can cause your baby to be born Deaf. Lots of other health complications for all involved, too.

...of something like Starsky & Hutch, though, I suppose the show had gained a reputation for being kitschy, seen in retrospect as something of a joke, so that's probably why they decided to do it as a comedy (much like how the 1966 Batman sitcom was inspired by audiences' mockery of the...
I'd have preferred a fourth season instead of a movie or two (next summers and the supposed Mando-Ashoka-culminating one), even if the primary protagonists weren't the main focus anymore.
The Mandalorian is almost jokingly known for its detours (pitch meeting pretty much nails it) but I...
