Poll What’s Your Favorite SNW Season (So Far)?

That's OK. I didn't care for Those Old Scientists. And I usually love the SNW comedic episodes. In the entire run of SNW to date, the only SNW comedy episode I dislike more is S3's A Space Adventure Hour. I loved SNW S2 Subspace Rhapsody and I'm normally not a fan when a non music series does...

IDIC: not just for merchandising medallions anymore.

Poll What’s Your Favorite SNW Season (So Far)?

...its third season. Season 1 features great standalone stories, solid overarching subplots, and one of my favourite Trek stories in the excellently sad "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach". *No joke, I watched "Subspace Rhapsody" twice and I was baffled as to why it has a devoted fan following.

    Do you speak future?

I'm 64, and I still use "groovy". These days, though, I tend to use "shiny" more.

...impact much. Programmable matter isn't really that much different from a replicator. Instantaneous transport by combadge is only used for jokes, and forgotten when inconvenient. Detached nacelles don't mean shit. The ship gets a refit mid Season 3, and never has an issue going toe-to-toe...

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

Little bit of a joke. But I do think, while not exactly subtle they did use fan service in a effective way. Except bringing back The Borg and how they used Moriarty. That would be example of bad fan service. Also the fan service has to be looked into the context that season was basically a...

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

That has to be a joke, Or at least, you posted it specifically because you knew it would generate this sort of reaction from someone.

*Raises hand* That would be me. Watch Home Alone and that flame thrower shot. Mirrors. It won't be.

Someone here treated the banana joke from the pilot as the funniest thing ever. It was funny the first time. Kinda.

Rik Mayall was the greatest of all time.. Didn't just get his cock set on fire for the joke, but did a stunt fall down the stairs and through a door while on fire.

...up Prince Charles to appear on the station's talk show. The two of them then have to inform Ted, who'll be interviewing the prince (which Murray jokes could start another war with England). Mary then spreads the news to others... Sue Ann: Oh, you and he would make a wonderful pair! If only...

    Do you speak future?

Groovy aged very well! Bruce Campbell for one is helping there. Paris says "pretty groovy" in Future's End, and in the 90s it was considered retro is the joke, but watching it in 2025 I think actually it's timeless!

News Netflix to buy Warner Brothers

My little joke idea turned into a novel while writing it up-thread. Sorry about that, it's what happens when I get creative on my day off.

The Delta Flyers now covering DS9

a Oh, if only they dissected the episodes from an "entertainment industry" perspective. They don't. At all. Terry and Garrett barely work any more, anyway (if at all) and their "analysis", such as it is, is almost entirely devoid of any real boots-on-the-ground insights that you'd expect...

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

Indeed. The sensible chuckle that started to occur was annoying. Contrast that with the end of Balance of Terror and Kirk comes across far better.

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

...spirit in which it's intended. Loses a crewmember every five seconds then laughs about it, almost loses the ship every other week, loses a communicator on a pre-warp planet and brushes it off with a joke... Then again, Tracey still wins. Truly unbelievable man, there is simply nobody like him.

Which is its first mistake. Murder ain't funny. I mean, I guess. I guess it wasn't funny. It was dark.
