    Spoilers The Acolyte

Leslye Headland gave her first interview on The Acolyte's cancellation with The Wrap. To her credit, she seems pretty balanced and chill about it, saying she thinks "any gripes creatively with the show are completely valid. That’s people’s reaction." She also calls out the inherent negativity...

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

Forgive me but my interpretation of this exchange following a criticism of SNW's aesthetic... ...is that the recreation of an identical set a la In a Mirror Darkly is either preferable to the modernisation seen in SNW or is at least a viable course of action for a show set on the dash-nothing...

    New StarGate series Prime Video.

You're comparing this to pre-broadcast TV. Doctor Who returned in 2005. It's been on air for 15 seasons since then, The classic series has a large UK fanbase, 'Throughout' the 16-year hiatus, the BBC has nurtured its fans with books, comics, and audio commentaries. Furthermore, the first seasons...

    New StarGate series Prime Video.

So there's a comic book resolving the series which we had assumed was as official as we were ever going get... But this is what ANGERED ME... Eli lost two hundred pounds in three pages. Funny enough David lost the weight in real life and looks like a snack. :)

    New StarGate series Prime Video.

What makes you say that? If we continue to follow the Doctor Who parallels then that means we should get at least another 15 seasons, and 4 more spin-offs. There was also a comics publisher that did series of comics that continued the stories of Atlantis and Universe after the TV series a few...

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

And I don't see anything wrong with that. They were great episodes and the sets looked fine and the Exterior looked phenomenal with all the "modern" day designs.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

By the time Enterprise did their Mirror episodes, the show had already been cancelled and the ratings were so low, they were no longer bothering trying to make a show for a general audience. The exacting reproductions of the sets were for the die-hards and nobody else.

    How bad is Andromeda?

Seasons 4 and 5 did have some better writing and occasionally good episodes, but they were also stuck with incredibly bad decisions forced in by David Peckinpah like the Kromagg breading camps, Wade's fate, Quinn's retconned origins... plus the brutally slashed budget and forced character...

    New StarGate series Prime Video.

Just because of what you said, I thought it might get canceled after the first few seasons. Of course, if they see it as a valuable intellectual property for television, they could keep it going. But of course, I think it would depend on how high the viewership is.

    Generations as a regular episode

There are a crapton of undeveloped and cancelled comics that aren't on that page. Joseph Berenato's New Life and New Civilizations essay collection has a feature on the unpublished Trek comics.

    New StarGate series Prime Video.

Them going the BSG route is to me what cancelled the show.. SG1, Atlantis Campy fun actions. Universe, BSG Glume and doom. It didn't work. Also.. "Somehow the Destiny crew got back home" There solved it.

    Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Today I learned that NBC's cancellation reversal of Remington Steele hurt Stephanie Zimbalist more than Pierce Brosnan (who lost James Bond but later got it again). She had been cast as the female lead in RoboCop and had to give that up.

Spoilers Stranger Things - Season 5

I canceled my Hulu/Disney+ subscription and switched over to Netflix, so I'm all set for the first batch of episodes next week.

    Rewatching 24

The first 13 episodes of season 1 were the best because they had a planned start, middle and finish in case they were canceled before getting the remaining 11 episodes. But you could tell they were just making stuff up as they went along and running out of steam in later seasons. So many stupid...

    Prodigy's Fate Sealed?

Mulgrew and Prodigy just got an Emmy nomination. Granted it's the Children's and Family Emmys, but it's still surprising and not a little bit significant, especially considering how long it's been cancelled. I wonder if there's the possibility of Netflix taking a second look at this?

    The Global Football Thread

Wonder where it will finish if the US get knocked out in the 1st round and the giant man baby finds a reason to cancel any further fixtures in his country.

What games are you playing currently?

Why is it that 90% of the time, if I'm wearing my headset which has excellent noise cancellation, someone will try to talk to me in my physical location, which then results me taking my headset off in order to explain to them that I can't possibly hear them. Always.

Have you ever given up on a Trek series? If so, what was the last straw for you?

I gave up on DS9 about three quarters of the way through. I watched only a few episodes of Enterprise at the beginning and at the end. I thought that there was some promise at the end, but then it was cancelled. I watched some of Voyager and lost interest. I watched about a half hour of the...

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

This policy was due to legal and ownership issues with Filmation which evaporated as soon as Filmation did and nothing else. As for the rest, as you say, he "thankfully failed". Because it was a bad idea. Just like disregarding The Burn. Roddenberry was full of bad ideas that "thankfully...
