Star Trek The Wrath of Khan Book Club

https://screenrant.com/star-trek-wrath-khan-son-cut-why/ If this is Khan's son it implies that either he had a child with a different woman or that McGivers met her end rather recently. Welcome. And sounds good to me. Right? When I was a teenager I took it in stride as "Oh, we've moved past...

    Starfleet Academy General Discussion Thread

Unfortunately, in the streaming era, we have no good source for metrics. Rating sites can be review bombed, and viewing stats are hard to find (and often quite dodgy).

At any rate, Adrianne Palicki has stated that she won't return for another season of the Orville regardless..

Poll Would you purchase a legit remaster of DS9?

...either, I just have faith in my side of it. We can call it a draw. (In fact, the only evidence I have that's solid, is DS9 maintained a 4.0 ratings average throughout it's run. It's Documentary like Voyager's, heavily surpassed the 150,000.00 starting budget that was requested.) Other than...

...an oversight on my part, and it messed up the average. When I recalculated it, the average came out to an 8.34 instead of an 8.24. So, the difference between DS9 and B5 is really 0.03 points in my ratings. Which means everything I said in my previous post still stands, but it's ever so closer.

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

Oops, you are right, I misread the transcript: PICARD: Mister Worf, end Red alert. And try to access a Federation time base beacon. Let's see if we can find out how long we've been in this causality loop. WORF: Time base confirms our chronometers are off by seventeen point four days. Correct...

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

Picard's losses were relatively low. Especially for a ship being flown into the unknown with civillians and children on board. WHY Starfleet thought it would be great to put nurseries and kindergartens in an active warship.. well that's just Late Stage Roddenberry stuff.

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

And nearly all of Archer's losses were the Xindi mission, season 3... a mission expected to have a high casualty rate. It was, for all intents and purposes, a wartime mission. Kirk and Picard? Those were all during peacetime. No sane person would voluntarily want to step on board either of...
  9. XCV330

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

This has been discussed before but by the end of TATV, Archer had lost about 29 persons, well over 1/3rd of his crew. No one sane would have wanted to step onboard that widowmaker.
  10. F

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

Actually, the survival rate under Archer was much better than most of the captains. Archer didn't lose a single crewman until "ANOMALY", second episode of season 3. That means it took until the 54th episode before a death of one of his people. And on a larger mission like the Xindi one, you...

    Worst Captain in Star Trek

Esteban gets portrayed as a bad captain, but his caution was warranted. If anything, he wasn't cautious enough. He was sent to the Genesis planet, where Starfleet knew fully well there would be other interested parties, in a tiny barely armed ship. I'd probably say Jonathan Archer was the...

...final scenes were. (in isolation, those scenes do still hold up, and they all praised them, and then Robbie & Terry gave surprisingly high ratings basically on the strength of just this). But nowadays, it's not fresh and new to have TV that understands all life has value, even extras and...

The Delta Flyers now covering DS9

It's a perfectly solid episode. Not great, certainly not bad. I'd probably rate it about a 7 myself. But it also happens to be better than roughly 85% of all of Star Trek Voyager and doesn't even crack DS9's 20 worst episodes. (while DS9 has a few stinkers, it's ratios are far superior to...

...effect. But let's get serious. The difference is within the margin of error, especially since I've already said I'd knock down some of the ratings I gave to some Babylon 5 Season 1 episodes now that I know the series better. So, when it's that close, it's essentially a tie. My Deep Space...

I thought she'd have a big teenage boy fanbase too. You could be right, but I thought the big problem with Birds of Prey was backlash from both Suicide Squad and Captain Marvel.

A few things to discuss about Kes

No less than he deserved but that's another topic. Star Wars usually utilizes voice actors, Matthew Latner as Anakin, Sam Witwer as Maul and Palpatine, or Dee Bradley Baker for almost all the clones, or Steven Stanton as Obi-Wan, who also appeared in a fan film too. Not sure which is worse the...

...romantically involved with his boss/trainer, which hardly seems appropriate, as he even lampshades. The gimmicky inclusion of Shannon Purser as the imaginary embodiment of an AI chatbot based on herself feels like a desperate ploy to boost ratings, which is odd, since I thought the show was a...
