I won't start building my Enterprise until the new year, but I've just seen it in the flesh in the Copenhagen Lego shop - it's huge! Don't know where I'm going to put it lol. It does look incredible!
I think it's as simple as it being minifig scale and tapping into the kid part of the brain that remembers playing with Lego cars and fire engines, and a perfectly-scaled shuttlecraft fits into that too.
They did an amazing job with the angles and it's such a shame this isn't a regular set...

Got my Shuttlepod and the other two GWPs today too. I think I'll have to build the shuttle this weekend, but the Enterprise will have to wait until after Christmas.
