Surely something good happened to you today

I started physical therapy for my arthritic ankle yesterday. They have me on a program of exercises to strengthen the calf muscles so I don't put as much stress on the ankle when I walk. It should help quite a bit.

On a completely unrelated note, I was on the phone with GoDaddy customer service today and when they put me on hold, I was treated to selections of big-band swing, cocktail-lounge jazz, Dixieland and ragtime. Way better than the usual crap most businesses use for on-hold music.

Ok this has a bad start...I woke up in the middle of my sleep only to have the usual sore throat. But this time it was accompanied with some persistent nausea. I did not even want to reach for the usual antacids in my nightstand for fear of you know, then it finally happened and I felt nausea throughout the day. Now it seems to be finally gone. When I went to bed it was normal. Did not feel like I eat anything bad like last time, so I am going to assume it's to a gift from my Diabetes his time. Also, today is my birthday. Was gonna settle down with my favorite frozen Mac and cheese and the supermarket bakery had no more individual cakes slices or festive cupcakes - me being single. So, I got a 2 pack of hostess chocolate cupcakes. I am gonna light one with a birthday candle. As my nausea has subsided albeit a late start. It's not too late. Was even able to have a cup of coffee as I was waiting for my dinner. Feel fine. But I felt fine last night as I went to bed. Oh, well, hopefully this episode won't happen again for a while.

I usually celebrate alone because the only other relative close by is too sick and frail. But I have been celebrating my b-days alone in case people are wondering why, lol. I can actually enoy it.

Another thing to be happy about like my nausea subsiding is also, I got my Amazon packages on time I added a bow to each package. Will be opening later.

Not me, but a customer.
Customer came in today to have work done on his car and was told that the cost was going to be $1,000 and some change.
Customer approved the repairs.
Customer came in to pick up the car and he only had $500 on him because his boss refused to advance him $500 until his next payday, which was the 31st.
The assistant manager said he couldn't release the car until he came up with the additional $500.07.
He tried applying for a Pep Card and was denied.
He then tried calling his bank to have his credit limit increased on his card and was denied.
He couldn't get a hold of any friends or family members on his phone
It looked as though he was going to have to leave the car at the shop until he could come up with the additional funds to pay for it, when another customer who was waiting for his car to be finished, stepped up and said he would chip in the additional $500.07 to help pay for the car, so the customer would have transportation to and from work, on the condition that once he was paid on the 31st, he would repay the money.
A receipt was drawn up and the other customer swiped his credit card to help pay for the repairs while the first customer handed over $500 in cash.
The second customer then paid for his oil change.
They've going to meet back here on the 31st and the first customer is going to pay back the $500.07.

On Friday I danced the ''Skeletor'' with a pussycat contortionist* for a Halloween party. I await my potential picture in our local paper.

(*She read my mind and asked if I wanted to do it. So it became a spontaneous He-Man/Pulp Fiction mashup of sorts....at least visually.)

While good things did occur today, Friday was quite major in my mind still.

For the past month, as of today, my CPAP machine has logged a daily average use-time of eight hours. I consider this an improvement.
I've tried CPAP twice for my sleep apnea, and I just can't tolerate it. There's no way I'm falling asleep with something strapped to my face. However, the sleep apnea doesn't seem to be a major issue. I'm getting plenty of sleep and I don't feel tired or fatigued during the day. If I stop breathing and die in the middle of the night, I'll deal with that when it happens.
