I liked the hand Phasers...
It wasn't that hard.Even as a non-American I could see the ICE storyline in season 2 wasn't an exaggeration even when it was airing.
Not true, LIFEFORCE actor. And that above statement was an insulting admission of defeat. But when one's characters surrender very quickly in their pilot episodes to funny-hatted.....no, too easy.It was clear when they made it that they expected Trump to win the coming election. You also had Stewart saying things like (paraphrase) "The time for Star Trek's optimism has passed."
Hell, there's one line in that dumpster fire season that is far and away the best bit of writing Picard managed to pull off:Even as a non-American I could see the ICE storyline in season 2 wasn't an exaggeration even when it was airing.
Ooh, let's hear the reasoning here. My own controversial opinion is that I think DS9 is absolute crap, especially from mid-season 4 onward, but even I think "Duet" is a rare standout.I'd rather watch "Shades of Gray" or "Spirit Folk" than "Duet".
I'm curious as to the reasoning.I'd rather watch "Shades of Gray" or "Spirit Folk" than "Duet".
I appreciate the technical merit of the episode... but it's a depressing gut-kick. Shades of Gray at least has explosions.I'm curious as to the reasoning.
Though I actually do consider Duet to be somewhat overrated (and I say that as a DS9 fan), I don't think I'd go that far.I'd rather watch "Shades of Gray" or "Spirit Folk" than "Duet".
Yes. It's a well executed story with an unexpected twist and a tragic denoument. Just not to my tastes. I'd have liked Romeo and Juliet better if the titular characters had met up in Romeo's new hometown and had nine kids together.“Technical merit”. Yeah. Okay…
Explosions rarely add to a TV show or movie in my opinion.I appreciate the technical merit of the episode... but it's a depressing gut-kick. Shades of Gray at least has explosions.
